Respect of the Ancient Traditions Paired with Advanced Techniques
Fattoria Lavacchio is a biodynamic winery nestled on the top of Chianti hills in Montefiesole, bordered by charming vineyards and olive groves. The winery is located between the beautiful towns of Sieci and Pontassieve, resting on 250 acres of land, beautified by rolling hills. Lavacchio produces top-quality wines, olive oil, wheat, and green garden products organically with the balance set by Mother Nature.
Fattoria Lavacchio has Roots Dating Back to the 18th-Century
Fattoria Lavacchio was established by the Peruzzi family in the 1700s. Later, it was acquired by marquis Strozzi Sacrati of Mantova in 1800. Finally, in 1978, the Lottero brothers took over the winery reign and completely restored it into a modern wine estate. Hailed from Genoa, the brothers have an intense love for Tuscany heritage, and that’s why they follow old handcraft methods combined with state-of-the-art technologies. The winery also houses a park where a 250-years-old cedar of Lebanon is located, expressing the estate’s rich history. Today, the winery has a resort with stunning rooms, apartments, villas, and a restaurant for tourists to enjoy their stay. The estate is also an ideal location to organize your wedding event.
Fifty-Two Acres of Organically Cultivated Vineyards
The vineyards are entirely organic planted with several grape varieties and olive plants. The grape varieties include Sangiovese, Syrah, Black Canaiolo, Ciliegiolo, Merlot, and Aromatic Traminer. Some acres are cultivated with excellent Trebbiano, Malvasia, Chardonnay, Viognier, and Sauvignon Blanc. The berries are harvested by hand to ensure the best selection.
