Fratelli Pavia locates on the extreme southern side of Monferrato, in the municipality of Agliano Terme. The winery covers a total area of 20 hectares, out of which, the charming vineyards extend up to 10 hectares. On these vineyards, vines of exceptional quality are grown. Almost every vineyard situates in the Red area of the world heritage sites of UNESCO.
The story of Fratelli Pavia Company dates back to the end of the 19th century. Michele, the grandfather of the current owner, along with his brothers, cultivated the vineyards in Agliano. Later, Carlo and Giovanni, sons of Michele, purchased more vineyards in the municipality of Agliano and continued the work. At present, the third generation of the family is managing the winery. Cesare and Michele, the latest members of the family, handle all the production processes in the vineyards and the cellar.
The underground cellar provides the right temperature for the aging of wines. The wooden oak barrels and the barriques enhance the taste of the wines, resulting in the production of the superior vintages. In the vineyards, owners grow a vast range of grapes, including Barbera, Grignolino, and Cortese. They also cultivate rare Chardonnay and Rosato with utmost care. They have the certification in producing delectable red and white wines along with high-quality rose and fortified wines.
