Gianni Ramello Winery

Had a tour of the cellar and tasting of 7 wines with Matteo Ramello (son of Gianni). The tour was very personal, and pours were heavy. We came away with the Verduno Pelaverga, Barbera d'Alba and Barolo Rochettevino. Will return.

The authentic flavor of a family of winemakers from the Langhe who produce an excellent product that honors their land. Gianni is a cultured and intelligent person, by conversing with him you understand his unlimited passion, his winemaking expertise made up of study and experiences around Italy. When you taste his wines you find all this and you can't help but be satisfied. The Langhe are what they are above all for families like the Ramellos.

Educational harvest. A wonderful experience starting with the harvest in the vineyard, then lunch at the farm with an excellent choice of tastings, from rosé to barolo. Excellent wines! Great professionalism of the owner in explaining the entire winemaking process, his wines and great kindness! Highly recommended!!

I visited the Gianni Ramello winery, a small business run by father and son. It was an authentic experience, in direct contact with their way of working. The cellar has few barrels, and everything is managed by the family, from the vineyard to the harvest. They welcomed us with a tasting of very good wines and cheeses, and I must say that the Pelaverga struck me with its spicy note. The prices are more than fair for the quality offered. I highly recommend a visit!

We spent two days in the Langhe and wanted to end the trip with a tasting in a winery. Having decided only at the last minute and not having booked, we went to the tourist office. They recommended a small family-run winery that was not on our list, Gianni Ramello, "there is Mr. Gianni, he will welcome you". A real surprise! Mr. Gianni was very kind, he welcomed us despite the short notice and even though we were alone. We started with those somewhat rigid speeches on the history of the company, we moved on to the barrels but our questions made the conversation deviate, showing us an intelligent, nice person, who loves his products and is ready to innovate and renew himself (to tell you, at a certain point we started talking about automated and geolocalized tractors). The visit ended with a tasting of their products. February is obviously not the best time to visit a vineyard, so we will definitely return to take advantage of Mr. Gianni's hospitality again. Thanks again.

The vendemmia experience here was truly delightful. Gianni's sons are super committed to the entire process, providing thorough explanations and accompanying guests every step of the way. The vineyard where the grapes are selected is absolutely stunning. Following the harvest, the experience of coming together as a family in the winery is enchanting. Sitting down for a home made meal, engaging in conversations, and witnessing the family's profound passion and extensive knowledge about the winemaking process is truly special.
