Gikas Winery is a cherished family-owned establishment located in the picturesque Attica region of Greece. With a Mediterranean climate and fertile soil, this winery has a rich history spanning four generations in vine cultivation and winemaking. Our vineyard, covering 150,000 square meters, is nestled on the slopes of the legendary Kithaironas mountain in North East Viotia, at an elevation of 450 meters. We cultivate our grapes with care, adhering to organic practices that enhance the natural qualities of our wines. The unique climatic and soil conditions, characterized by healthy clay-rich soil, contribute to a distinctive ‘terroir’ that accentuates the flavors of our grape varieties.
Located in East Attica, our winery boasts a capacity of 3000HL, supported by our dedicated oenological laboratory. This lab plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality and stability of our wines, conducting essential tests for market compliance. Through chemical and sensory analyses, our team develops innovative products that reflect the essence of Gikas wines. By blending traditional winemaking methods with modern technology, we produce high-quality wines while minimizing our environmental impact.

Went to the wine tasting with my husband! Very nice place! In general we really liked the tour and the wines! They also brought us breadsticks with cheese to accompany the wines we tasted! We will definitely come back!!

It’s a must! I had a 7 hour layover in Athens and couldn’t help but check this winery out after reading the reviews. You should definitely call ahead and book. I was unable to and luckily I was just by myself so they were lovely enough to accommodate me. It is just about 15 min from the airport. The winery itself is beautiful and the wines are delicious! Polina was very informative and friendly. I really enjoyed my time and would definitely go back next time I’m in Athens.
