Vriniotis Winery, Family-Run Winery Near Edipsos

Situated a short drive away from Edipsos, Vriniotis Winery is surrounded by an engaging setting in the charming village of Yialtra. It is a family-based wine estate, which has been cultivating grapes and producing wines for a long time. The vineyards’ dominant location, basked by panoramic views, offers a suitable microclimate and mineral-rich soils.

The history of Vriniotis Winery dates back to when Konstantinos Vriniotis’ forefathers began grape cultivation in the winegrowing region of Edipsos.
Soon after, the winemaking family established a small, old stone winery.

Incorporating Traditional Wine Production Methods with Innovative Ideas

Konstantinos, the current owner of Vriniotis Winery, manages all the operations in a new, modern winery, built next to the old stone winch. He has incorporated traditional wine production methods, along with innovative ideas and advanced machinery in the new cellar. Preserving the local architecture of Edipsos, the estate imposes a conventional line, soft colors, and an underground tank for fermentation.

Aidani, Assyrtiko, Malagouzia, and Monemvasia Grown at the Winery

On the land of 100 acres, Konstantinos grows a vast array range of family-owned grapes. The vineyard area expanded over Yialtra Edipsos and Mount Teletrio, where the owner cultivates Aidani, Assyrtiko, Malagouzia, and Monemvasia. On the steep slopes and fertile terroirs, Konstantinos also grows an ancient Greek red variety Vradiano, paired with fruity Mavrokountoura and Syrah. These grapes are carefully selected and fermented to produce high-quality red, white, and rosé wines, combined with top-notch dessert and fortified wines.
