Hastwell and Lightfoot Winery, Luscious Vineyards in McLaren Vale 

Surrounded by beautiful vineyards and olive groves, the Hastwell and Lightfoot winery lies in the appealing region of McLaren Vale, South Australia. The cultivated area stretches over 43 acres, out of which 40 acres are dedicated to vineyards, and the remaining three acres is an olive plantation.
Hastwell and Lightfoot Winery planted its first wines in 1988 and has been producing quality wines ever since.
The winery was established by two couples, Mark and Wendy Hastwell, and Martin and Jill Lightfoot, and planted their first wines in 1988. The initial production of the winery started small with only 60 cases in 1990. Over the years, the ties of the partnership of two families have grown deeper. Today, the younger generations, along with their parents, work in the vineyards and wine cellar with enormous dedication and love for their winemaking tradition.

Vineyard are Managed in an Eco-Friendly Manner

Respecting the environment and biodiversity of southern Australia, the owners grow a variety of grapes using eco-friendly viticulture practices. They cultivate healthy vines, such as Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Barbera. The two families focus on the cultivation of Mediterranean varieties such as Tempranillo, Montepulciano, Garnacha, Vermentino, and Fiano. Using these wines, the estate boasts a broad production line, which includes delicious red, white, and rosé wines.

The Winery Uses Australian Oak Barrels for the Aging and Refining of Wines

Immersed in a lush setting of McLaren Vale and a magnificent view of Blewitt Springs, the wine cellar at Hastwell and Lightfoot Winery is the place where winemaking begins. It consists of large tanks for fermentation and wooden barrels of Australian Oak for the storage and aging of their wines. The estate also has a well-furnished wine lounge and a tasting room, where all modern facilities for guests are open and inviting. In the wine lounge, visitors can organize small events and meetings, to fully enjoy the unforgettable ambiance.
