Now, after the choice to move from the city life to the countryside in close relationship with nature it is 23 hectares vineyard that runs the area of Mortellito, Bufalemi and Maccari districts close to the sea and in the the middle of mediterranean vegetation between Olive and Almond threes. Mortellito began its own journey of genuine wine in 2016 made without forcing and using organic farming methods.

The Terroirs of Il Mortellito

The land are just few kilometres from Vendicari Riserva, Marzamemi and Portopalo fishing village and beaches, a location next to the extreme south of Sicily and Europe.

Bush wine cultivation of the flagship grapes of the area: Nero D’avola, Moscato di Noto, Frappato e Grillo

Grapes grown up in a area that is strongly characterized by its position - 40 meters from the level of the sea and 1.5 km from the sea with the gobelet training system and without the use of pesticides and chemical fertilizers.Harvesting is done by hand without the use of machinery since this could damage the quality of the grapes.
