SOPRANO DI SINDARO WINERY

Nestled on a picturesque hill overlooking the Rodia Sea, Soprano di Sindaro Winery offers breathtaking views of the Eolian Islands. This charming winery spans three hectares, with half a hectare dedicated to vineyards, cultivated in accordance with the regulations that protect the Faro DOC red wine production area.

Founded in 2004 by Paolo and Antonella, the winery began as a blend of passion and play. Today, their children, Aldo and Giorgia, continue the family tradition, investing in the farm and its future. As a small family-run business, Soprano di Sindaro produces around 2,000 bottles each season, showcasing five different grape varieties, primarily native to Sicily.

Every step of the production process is carefully monitored, ensuring an authentic and memorable wine experience for visitors.

This isn't just about wine; it's about passion, heritage, and breathtaking beauty. As the sun dips below the horizon, painting the sky with fiery hues, you'll be mesmerized by the stunning sunset view overlooking the majestic, erupting volcano Stromboli. It's a dramatic and utterly romantic backdrop that sets the stage for an extraordinary evening. The heart of this experience lies in delving into Aldo’s family story – a courageous tale of passion and sophistication that truly redefines wine quality. With deep knowledge, Aldo passionately shares insights into the revered Faro DOC wine and their unwavering commitment to organic farming. They uphold the highest standards, including the rigorous practice of no irrigation, ensuring the purest expression of their grapes. And then, the food! The accompanying cuisine is nothing short of fantastic, lovingly prepared by Aldo’s mother. This is top-tier Sicilian cooking, a remarkable journey through the most iconic Sicilian dishes, each presented with sophistication and bursting with excellent flavor. It's a culinary highlight that perfectly complements the exquisite wines. Beyond the sensory delights of wine and food, what truly stands out is the sheer beauty and meticulous care evident in their home and garden. Every corner reflects a profound love for their land and heritage, adding an extra layer of charm and authenticity to an already perfect romantic experience.

My partner and I spent five days at this agritourism property and have nothing but good things to say. Not even a single "but." The apartment is very cozy and ideal for two people, with all the amenities for a relaxing stay and a breathtaking sea view. Although the owners' house is next door, you enjoy complete independence and peace and quiet. Both Aldo and his parents are charming and a joy to chat with. The location is perfect, a 15-minute drive from the center of Messina and surrounded by nature. The entire property is beautiful and very well maintained. The sunsets are spectacular. I highly recommend trying some of their homemade wines, as well as the tasting aperitif they offer—it's unbeatable! A delight for the senses. Aldo and his father, Paolo, are charming, as is his mother, and they are available for anything you need. It's a hidden paradise on the outskirts of Messina. Peace and beauty. My wife and I will definitely return. Many thanks to these fantastic hosts!!

Best tasting experience ever. Aldo is a guy with a lot of passion and knowledge of the sector that allows him to produce a wine without equal. Everything is cooked by hand with care in the selection of the best products of the territory. Absolutely recommended!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND! This is a small, family owned winery. The wine and lunch was amazing! The attention to detail, personal touches made this tour so special. The owner and his son were so friendly, son speaks good English. We had a wonderful afternoon here. Can’t recommend enough. They even drove us back into the port terminal once we were done.
