A Journey Through An Unaltered Cellar

Welcome to our historic agricultural estate, where we produce a variety of wines, including whites, reds, rosés, and orange wines, using both local and international grape varieties. Our winemaking tradition spans generations, rooted in a historic cellar built in 1875 by the Florio family. This remarkable space was acquired by my grandfather, Vincenzo, in 1931 and remains untouched, preserving its authentic character and charm.

A Culinary Extravaganza: Pairing Tradition with Taste

Visiting our estate offers more than just a taste of our wines. Guests can stroll through our organic vineyards with Vincenzo, the owner, and then step into the historical cellar for a unique tasting experience. Here, traditional dishes prepared by Liliana, Vincenzo's wife, complement our wines beautifully. We aim to create memorable moments for our guests, blending our rich heritage with the pleasure of savoring exceptional wines and local cuisine. At our estate, you will not only taste our wines but also connect with the stories and history that each bottle represents.

What can I say! Yesterday I celebrated my daughter's communion in the splendid Baglio Florio among citrus groves, medlars and bales of hay, with a long table decorated with so much care and Sicilianness! Authentic and abundant food and the owners of the houses were very sweet...as much as the hot cassatelle served at the end of the sumptuous lunch! Thanks to Liliana and Vito for everything.

This is a story that goes on for almost a century. When you go on food tours in Sicily and visit wine cellars in a land that smells of salt, sweat and wine, you have to expect something pleasant to happen with an ancient taste. Being a guest in one of the historic Florio estates in Alcamo (TP) is already one of the great surprises that can happen to you. The Baglio Florio, owned by the Adamo family since 1931, offers a fantastic taste experience that you will remember for a long time and that you will want to repeat, tasting the strictly organic products of the house. Vincenzo Adamo, the host, a friendly and welcoming host, has long been involved in the production of his wines and oil, pressed from the splendid olives of the area, among which Nocellara del Belìce and Biancolilla stand out. Mrs. Liliana, Vincenzo's wife, generously described by her husband as the true driving force of the company, will introduce you to the flavors of the dishes she prepares and is able to excite and delight through the feedback of the guests. The collaboration of the children who support the family business in the school and work commute and Vito's collaboration in the kitchen fit perfectly with the conviviality cultivated by the owners. I will not go into detail about the dishes because it would be a list that would disregard the reality of the flavors: go and taste them in person. The wine accompanied us throughout the meal: to begin with Zibibbo, naturally dry, then pure Catarratto and Nero D'Avola for the more sophisticated flavors. Of course, dessert could not be missing either. If you thought of sheep's ricotta, you guessed it. Toasts, hugs and kisses and .....

Today together with Easy Trapani we went to the Florio cellars in Calatafimi Segesta and visited the countryside of the Adamo company where you can enjoy an extraordinary panorama. The welcome of the owners Vincenzo Adamo and his wife Liliana was perfect and they made us feel at home, compliments to their staff and to Vito. Wonderful day!🥰🥰🥰

The visit to the Baglio Florio in Calatafimi Segesta was a wonderful journey through history, to the rediscovery of an industry desired and created by the innovative and far-sighted Florios. The visit was enriched by the tasting of the excellent organic wines of Adamo, all under the majestic guidance of Liliana (now owner of the Baglio together with her husband) who managed to infect us with the love for what she does but even more for her land and her origins. Everything was beautiful, beautiful and top wine

We had the best day today in Adana Bio’s cooking experience. Super friendly people, incredible surroundings and they made us feel instantly like family. The history of the location is super interesting and Liliana was a master tour guide. Vito brought the best fun vibes in our cooking experience and had us laughing, dancing and expertly rolling pasta by the end of it… almost! Could not reccomend booking any of their experiences enough. A must visit wether you are a local or a visitor to Sicily. With the final added bonus if lots of cute farm pets roaming around (a very friendly dog, cats/kittens & chickens).
