Dynamic company, with ancient roots and solid principles, innovation and great tradition.
To deeply believe in the wine that is produced and to do so even at the expense of quantity. This is the philosophy of Alberto Fabbri and Alessandra Pacini, owners of Il Poggiolino. It is no coincidence that the company has been part of the Black Rooster Consortium since 1964, the wine is produced and bottled only in the best vintages and the harvest is done manually, choosing only the excellent bunches. The family has owned it since 1979, and the private collection begins in 1965.
The Estates
There are six hectares of owned vineyards to which 2 hectares have been managed since 2019. In addition to this there are about 1000 olive trees.
In addition to this, since 2005, the “Poggialto” property consists of an additional twelve hectares of vineyards, twelve of olive groves (about 3000 plants), 24 of crops and woods and a hunting reserve for 120 hectares.
The wine production is about 110,000 bottles per year divided into the various types.
The entire production is meticulously followed by an internal wine technician assisted by an internationally renowned winemaker as well as by a team of agronomists who allow us, although not certified organic, to work with the utmost respect for the environment and nature.
Believing deeply in the potential and importance of the Chianti Classico area and being proud to be part of a denomination known throughout the world as that of the Black Rooster, Il Poggiolino produces only and exclusively high-quality products.
