Kränzelhof Winery

Kränzelhof – When you get lost, but in style The Kränzelhof near Merano is not just a garden: it is a journey through time (and sometimes through space, thanks to the labyrinth). Here every corner is taken care of down to the smallest detail. The labyrinth is a real gem: an experience that makes you feel like a knight on a mission… or, more realistically, like a person desperately looking for the way out. But don’t worry, even if you get lost, it is the right place to do so: greenery everywhere, details that leave you speechless and an atmosphere that makes you forget the chaos of the modern world. It is not just a garden, it is a living work of art, where walking becomes a pleasure for the eyes and the mind. In short: an absolute level experience, which makes you want to move there… or at least come back soon. 🌿✨

Wonderful experience, very friendly welcome, beautiful garden, which you have to visit at your leisure to capture the great harmony it can offer. I recommend trying the organic wines from the estate, really excellent and well described!

A very beautiful winery in a wonderful location. The wine tasting was informative and really well done. All the staff were friendly and helpful. We spent a lot more time in the gardens, however, although it was more about art in gardens. Interesting and stimulating - we took some inspiration with us. Unfortunately the kitchen was not open that day, but as we had booked the tasting, we were informed in advance. That was fine with us. We would come again, because in contrast to Trautmannsdorf or other museums, it was more personal and interesting here. Thank you for the lovely afternoon!

We had a tour of the estate and a wine tasting with Barbara. The tour of the property was really interesting and Barbara had such lovely stories to tell about wine making and the gardens and the family and life in general. The wines were delicious too! We ordered four cases and would love to come back! Thank you so much!

Definitely a place to visit, amazing the combination of wine, garden architecture, the various art object themselves plus the typical friendliness of Tyrol… loved it

Very cool location. When the weather is good you can sit in a beautiful park and you will receive a very friendly welcome. Small menu with cold and hot dishes. Good wine to go with it. Afterwards you can visit the park for a fee. We would love to come back.

So beautiful. Tour of the vineyards and wine cellar. Very well explained and with some history as well. Afterwards wine tasting. Always two wines compared - some explanations. Very friendly staff. The gardens are a dream and after the wine tasting much more intense and explored with all the senses. Art in the garden - very beautiful. Good restaurant there. In summer with a beer garden. Only nicer. "Wine is a work of art from nature"

Impressive garden, 7 gardens to be precise, with 2 labyrinths. Very friendly welcome. Beautiful art. A place to slow down. When the weather is nice, a wonderful place to linger and relax. We would love to visit again! A wide range of organic wines with advice and tasting round off the offer.

Interesting and relaxing place, beautiful garden (or actually multiple connected gardens) to wander around. It's very unique and somehow very peaceful, but relatively unknown. Lot's of open spaces were also kids can explore.

Nice garden and great local freshly made food.

A beautifully landscaped garden with different levels, hidden nooks with seating that invite you to linger. The highlight is the elevated pavilion with a view of the surroundings. All in all, highly recommended. Upon leaving, those who wish can linger in the lovely beer garden or participate in a wine tasting. Unfortunately, the wine prices, like almost everywhere here, are very high for tourists. But that's just my personal opinion.

I found this place while browsing the Internet looking for an idea on where to spend a Sunday a little different from the usual! I must say, a beautiful green space that I found very very nice even if a little smaller than I had hoped! Let's say that in half an hour you can go around everything! For this reason the eight euros of entrance (2€ for children) did not seem very cheap to me! Organizing yourself with a packed lunch and spending the whole day here will certainly be well spent! Inside the garden you can find various sculptures, a small lake, some cabins in which it is possible to stimulate the different senses and a labyrinth, fun for adults too! We were there in autumn and the colors were truly wonderful! But I am sure that every season gives visitors wonderful colors and views!

Vineyard with beautiful gardens. Tasting of very good wines.

The place is worth a visit, beyond the excellent wines, for the garden that hides inside the property. A magnificent habitat for plants, frogs and works of art. What can be said to enhance the territory. Visit without a guide 8€ adults, 4.5€ children over 4 years. There are also solutions with wine tasting, preferably by appointment.

The gardens are not bad. Very beautiful even if in some places they were not taken care of at their best, but on a large space it is not easy to always take care of everything. The path with the maze is very nice and there is no help or quick exit, if you are inside you have to get out by yourself, and this is fun... The whole maze is made of plants, partly vines with grapes and partly with plants with berries but poisonous that cannot be eaten. In addition to the main maze there are ponds, many other plants and places with benches to sit and rest, both in the sun and in the shade. It is not recommended with strollers because there are steps and the grass is uncomfortable to deal with on some of the differences in level that are there. The cost of the ticket is €8 for adults and €4.50 for children... I got in for free with guest cards :)

One of the best and most relaxing places around. The atmosphere, staff and food are outstanding.
