Azienda Agricola El Zeremia: Reviving Gropello di Revo in Trentino

Azienda Agricola El Zeremia is a historic winery dedicated to reviving the Gropello di Revo grape wine in Trentino, sourced from the Val di Non region. Founded by Augusto Zadra, whose family has a rich winemaking heritage, the winery began producing its first vintage in 2011. Today, Augusto's son, Lorenzo, continues the family tradition with the guidance of winemaker Lasino Valle dei Laghi.

The Vineyards

Augusto Zadra has always championed the native grape varieties that reflect Trentino's winemaking traditions, earning numerous accolades for his efforts.

The vineyards span 20,000 square meters, yielding approximately 8,000 bottles of premium wine each year. Careful vineyard management and meticulous harvesting techniques ensure the highest quality. The primary grape varieties cultivated here include Gropello di Revo, Johanniter, and Maor.

Cellar and Fermentation Tanks

The winery features a traditional cellar equipped with modern winemaking technology. Steel fermentation tanks are used for vinification, while a dedicated barrel room allows for the aging of wines. The Gropello vintage is fermented in steel tanks and aged for twelve months in barrels. The Johanniter grape, known for its resistance to fungal diseases, requires minimal intervention. In 2018, the first Maor plant was established, showcasing this ancient white grape variety. Visitors are welcome to tour the winery and sample the wines in the tasting room.

Excellent cellar. He explained to us the entire history of the cellar, back to the ancestors, with amore. You can see that they are people who put their heart and soul into what they do. Excellent wines, excellent sparkling wine, grappa... try it to believe it. We got a little bit of everything. They deserve, they deserve a visit, a taste, and you will not be able to help but buy, as we 💯 Kevin 🐕 also appreciated.... Gourmet.

Mrs. Anita welcomed us and accompanied us to the small cellar which owes its name to the dean of the family: with foresight she had inherited the Groppello di Revò vineyard to her son who would make good use of it. Well that vineyard today is almost a century and a half old and also hosts the first example of many of Maor (also native white). A fascinating story made up of bets won in an area now almost entirely devoted to apples.

Spectacular wine. Ancient, fruity flavours. A winery that has been able to valorise a product at risk of extinction. The Groppello of the Val di Non. Thank you for your tenacity!! And thanks to the very talented lady who passionately told us the story and the great work behind this excellence of the area. To return every year.

Tasting of native Groppello wines from the cellar and local cured meats. Explanation of the history of their family of innovators in the production of modern groppello made by the owner of the house in a masterful and exciting way. Niche cellar followed today by the son with the same love as his fathers, Augusto and grandfather Zeremia. It is worth visiting and purchase the results of this great passion of theirs translated into wonderful bottles of wine, without forgetting the excellent grappa. We will definitely return.

I went this afternoon to do a tasting with a visit to the cellar and I have to tell the truth, one of the most beautiful experiences of this holiday in Trentino. I recommend everyone to visit this winery, truly surprising and interesting wines accompanied by quality cured meats and cheeses from the area. Mrs. Anita was the icing on the cake, she told us many interesting things about the place we were in, its history and how the winery came to be what it is today. We will definitely come back to visit her
