Azienda Agricola El Zeremia- A Historical Winery that Enhanced and Rediscovered the Gropello di Revo wine in Trentino
The Azienda Agricola El Zeremia is a historical winery that enhanced and rediscovered the Gropello di Revo wine in Trentino from the Val di Non grape. The owner Augusto Zadra is from a family with a great history in winemaking. His dream of making the best wines came true in 2011 when he set up his own cellar and produced the 2011 vintage. Currently, his work is carried out by his son Lorenzo who is helped by winemaker Lasino Valle dei Laghi.
Their Vineyards
Augusto Zadra was always proud to defend the qualities of the native grape variety that show the tradition of the Trentino and even won many honors and awards for it.
The vineyards are spread around 20000 sq. meters and allow to make around 8000 bottles of the best wines. A lot of care is taken of the vineyards, and proper harvesting techniques are used. The typical grape varieties grown here include the Gropello di Revo, Johanniter, and Maor.
Cellar and Fermentation Tanks
Even though the wine cellar is made with a traditional concept, it has all the modern technologies required for winemaking. There are steel fermentation tanks for winemaking and a barrel room for the ageing of wines. The vintage wine Groppelo is vinified in steel tanks and is aged for twelve months in the barrels. White wine Johanniter grape is resistant to fungal diseases and does not require special treatment. The first ever plant for Maor was built in 2018, which is an ancient white grape variety of the region. Guests are welcome to visit the winery and taste the wines in their tasting room.
