A Story of Wine Since 500 years

Wine always tastes better when made in a winery that has been centuries in the making. There is just something different about the taste. Whether it's the passion that has been passed on for generations or the secrets, one can only tell the magic with the taste of their marvelous wines. Palazzo Ladron is the story of a family and their winery since 1456. The Counts of Lodron settled in the Lagarina Valley in 1456. From that moment on, they played a crucial part in the ever-changing history of the region.

Unique Viticulture

Palazzo Ladron strongly believes in the quality of wines and personally looks after the vines to ensure this happens. And quality always begins in the vineyards themselves. The winery avoids using herbicides or fertilizers for the matter. Only when it is really necessary, do they use organic fertilizers. Grape varieties like Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, and a few rows of Carménère call the vineyards here, their home. Harvest is hand-picked and hand-sorted here.

I was invited to this structure for the bachelor party of a Spanish friend, Anton Righetas for friends of Ciacio. I must say that we immediately felt at ease and were very satisfied with both the accommodation and the quality-price ratio. I can only recommend Palazzo Lodron also to those who wish to visit wineries and distilleries in the area. Thank you Lucia for your availability and see you next time!

One of the best hotels I've ever been. The staff is very friendly and the mountainous region is beautiful. I'm looking forward to coming back again.
