A Rich History Since 1250
Originally a wheat and vine cultivation site for the Abbey of Rivalta Scrivia in 1250, La Giustiniana has a storied past. In 1625, the Giustiniana Family, led by a commander of Genoese militias, took ownership and restored the 17th-century cellar beneath the villa. This historic cellar is where wines age and experimental micro vinifications take place, featuring small oak barrels and 20-hectoliter oak wood vats that reflect traditional winemaking practices.

Beautiful surprise...imposing entrance but that's exactly how it should be. Miss Chiara who welcomed us (without an appointment due to our fault) was very kind and very helpful, she made us appreciate the sacrifices and will of the owners is nearing completion but it will certainly be a "fairytale" place, not least Gavi wines fine and very elegant congratulations and thanks
