La Giustiniana, Residing in the Piedmont Hills
La Giustiniana is situated in the territory of Rovereto di Gavi, in the Piedmontese region of the Apennines. The ancient villa, built in neoclassical style, still dominates from the top of the gentle hills of Apennines. The new cellar of Giustiniana, laced with advanced technologies, consists of soft squeezing horizontal presses and stainless-steel tanks of capacity around 5000 hectolitres. The beauty of La Giustiniana, surrounded by charming vineyards and countryside, creates mesmerizing views to all those that visit.
A Former Wheat and Wine Factory Since 1250
In 1250, La Giustiniana was a wheat and vine cultivation land in the Abbey of Rivalta Scrivia. In 1625, the Giustiniana Family took over the winery under the ownership of a commander of Genoese militias. The owner has restored the 17th-century cellar, lies beneath the ancient villa to its former glory. In the old cellar, the owner keeps the wines for the aging process and also conducts experimental micro vinifications. The medieval basement also has small oak barrels and oak wood vats of 20 hectoliters.
