Discover the Organic Winery La Quercia Scarlatta
La Quercia Scarlatta is a family-run winery located in the Marche winegrowing region. The owner runs the winery along with his wife Claudia and sons, Giovanni and Jacopo. He took over the old house and old cellar in 2000 and reconstructed it using modern equipment and winemaking technologies. The family planted new olive trees, rosa apples from the Sibillini Mountains, and saffron for their vegan and organic cosmetic products. The winery also houses an olive press system.

La Quercia Scarlatta, a Winery Surrounded by Nature
The winery is small but located in a gorgeous natural region. Lots of hills surround the cellar, and the vine color changes the landscape every season. Wheatfields, olive trees, and sunflowers are also planted around the winery. La Quercia Scarlatta is a certified organic winery with all wines produced organically and sustainably. The work in the vineyards is done both with horses as well as manually.

The main varieties of grapes grown at the winery are Sangiovese, Merlot, and Ribona. The best grapes go into the production of their famous red, white, and dessert wines. They grow a grape with almost 2000 years of history named Maceratino but use modern techniques to vinify it. They also produce a sparkling wine with a classic method from a specific grape, a hybrid of Verdicchio and Sauvignon Blanc created in the sixties by Professor Incrocio Bruni. The wines are also totally vegan.

Thank you for setting this tour up. Visiting La Quercia Scarlatta was the highlight of my Sunday. Francesco greeted me with a friendly smile and he had everything ready including some Italian meats and cheeses. The wines were wonderful and I did buy their white and red wines. I would definitely visit this winery again. 10 out of 10. Thank you!
