A Wine Story

Le Marne was born from the passion for wine and growing grapes of Federica and Luigi. Since 2002, when they first started the winery, they took up the organic method in order to respect nature and create a genuine and structured product that they could always be proud of.

The Right Lands

Le Merne is situated at the village of Salita Colla in the Oltregiogo region of Piemonte, some 20 kilometres north of Genoa. The company takes its name from the white marl, clay and limestone (collectively known as marne that feature heavily in the vineyards, which themselves are located at an altitude of 330 metres above sea level. Everything is strictly organic, only natural yeasts are employed and no added sulphur is used.

Unfortunately I can't contact them, I can't find either email or telephone number. I hope they will be able to be found, I would like to be able to order some wine from them, after having tasted their GAVI LE MARNE BIANCO in Rome at Luca Boccoli. Extraordinary wine.

The owners were very kind and welcomed us and accompanied us in the tasting throughout the afternoon, even though they were very busy due to the harvest. During the tasting we tried Gavi Marne Oro and Marne Bianco from different vintages. Wines that certainly differentiate themselves from the competition and which present an excellent predisposition to aging. Everything was accompanied by explanations from the owners who went into detail about the production methods used and the peculiarities of the area and their land. During the tasting, cured meats and focaccias are also served. Thanks for your time

Family run, very good organic wines, with great balance and character, can be tasted on site. Fantastic owners, very smart people, helpful and serious. You immediately feel at home except that there is a view of the vineyards and the valley that is priceless!
