Le Masciare: A Commitment to Sustainability Since 2001

Le Masciare is a sustainable winery founded by four friends dedicated to producing exceptional wines that showcase the unique qualities of their rich Campania terroir. Since its inception in 2001, the winery has gained recognition for its outstanding Campania wines and has also ventured into organic extra virgin olive oil production using local Ravece and Marinese olive varieties. Initially, each partner owned four hectares of vineyards and olive groves, but in 2009, the winery expanded with new staff and modern technology to enhance their winemaking process.

Crafting Elegant and Complex Wines

Located in the prestigious Taurasi DOCG region, Le Masciare's vineyards span 21 hectares across eight distinct plots. Each plot is meticulously cared for, taking into account variations in soil type, grape variety, and vine age. The ideal elevation, soil composition, and microclimate contribute to the cultivation of high-quality grapes. The primary grape varieties include Aglianico, Greco, and Fiano, which are used to produce a diverse range of red, white, rosé, and sparkling wines.

Enjoy Stunning Wines at Their Farmhouse

The modern wine cellar features vinification and bottling areas on the ground floor, while the barrel room is located underground. Grapes undergo fermentation at controlled temperatures, followed by aging in oak barrels to develop their structure and aroma. In addition to the renowned Taurasi DOCG, Le Masciare produces Greco di Tufo DOCG, Spumante Greco DOCG, and Fiano di Avellino DOCG wines. Their newly completed farmhouse, which accommodates up to 26 guests, offers a serene retreat surrounded by nature, complete with a beautiful swimming pool where visitors can savor their wines.

Beautiful place among the vineyards of Fiano and Aglianico. Large, spacious, clean and well-kept rooms. The owners are very welcoming and helpful, we highly recommend the tasting at their winery and a walk through the vineyards. Great relaxing weekend with family and friends.

We spent two fantastic days at the Le Masciare estate. The place is enchanting, immersed in a quiet and relaxing vineyard and olive grove. The owners and all the staff were always helpful and friendly, fulfilling all our requests and helping us to overcome even small unexpected events. Super recommended place for those looking for relaxation in contact with nature.

Last year we stayed at the agriturismo for two weeks. A wonderful place to relax, but you can also make great trips from here (Naples, Amalfi Coast, Pompeii, etc.). The apartment was very nice, modern. The swimming pool is really fantastic. Erik and Virna do everything they can to please you and are super hospitable. Tour of the winery was also very nice. In our opinion, an absolute must!!

If you are seeking for relaxation, nature, a heartwarming host family and excellent wine, Le Masciare will be the perfect place for you. We spent three days at Erik‘s and his family’s vineyard where our expectations were more than exceeded. Our rooms were perfectly clean and the apartment offered generally everything you would need. The terrace offers more than enough space for the whole family to sit outside and enjoy top quality wine and deep talks. Moreover the pool is filled with salt water which feels like you were in a spa and not a hotel pool. Erik immediately offered a private round tour though his vineyard and his wine cellar which ended in an exclusive wine tasting. He definitely is an expert in this field and therefore a great tour guide who you can literally ask anything about wine – he’ll know the answer. He also put so much personal effort in helping us with a little issue we had with a gas station even after we had already departed. All in all Le Masciare is an absolute insider tip for an authentic and classy impression of South Italy.

Amazing property in a beautiful location and the pool is amazing. Our hosts were very attentive and made sure our stay was comfortable. The tour they run of the winery was fantastic too and Eric was so generous. We were a group of 5 friends, there were families and couples staying too so I’d recommend this for anyone
