Sustainable winery using local grape types to make the best, authentic Campania wines

Le Masciare, Sustainable Winemaker Since 2001

The Le Masciare is a sustainable winemaking business that started when four friends joined forces to make the best wines reflecting the quality of their rich territory and noble grape varietals. They are known for making great Campania wines and since 2001, have also been making organic Evo oil from local Ravece and Marinese olive varieties. Earlier, they just owned four hectares each of vineyards and olive groves. In 2009, the winery was expanded with new staff and the acquisition of modern machinery and technology.

Elegant and Complex Wines

The vineyards are in the Taurasi DOCG region and are in eight plots spread across 21 hectares. Each plot is looked after individually because of the variations in soil type, grape variety, age, etc. The vines are at a perfect height, and ideal soil and microclimate allow them to grow the best grapes needed to make complex and elegant wines. Aglianico, Greco, and Fiano are the primary grape varieties grown here and used to make red, white, rose, and sparkling wines.

Relish Stunning Wines in Their Own Farmhouse

The modern wine cellar houses the vinification and bottling areas on the ground floor while the barrel room is underground. Fermentation of the grapes takes place under controlled temperatures, and then the wines are aged in oak barrels to attain the required structure and aroma. Other than the famous Taurasi DOCG, they also make Greco di Tufo DOCG, Spumante Greco DOCG, and Fiano di Avellino DOCG wines. Their farmhouse with gorgeous swimming pool has been completed in 2022, and can comfortably accomodate up to 26 guests, who can spend their vacation amidst nature’s beauty and relish their wines.
