Surrounded by vineyards, woods, and vegetable gardens, accounted for 100 hectares, the Marina Danieli Winery is located in Buttrio, Udine. The estate is renowned for its Italian wines and sophisticated wedding venues, built with a historical touch. From the best catering services to a perfect ambience, the company is a place to plan various memorable events.
Marina Danieli Estate, the Leading Winery of Friuli
In 1870 Filotimo Danieli arrived Buttrio, accompanied by his wife Anna Beltrame and started producing full body wines. Today, headed by the fifth generation, the Marina Danieli Winery has become one of the leading wineries of Friuli Colli Orientali DOC. It is owned by Marina and her sons Letizia and Francesco. Over the past 40 years, the business stretched from winemaking to hospitality. Following the family traditions, the company produces award-winning red, white, and rose wines, along with exclusive limited editions, all made within DOC Friuli, IGT Venezia Giulia, and IGT Trevenezie labels.
Organic Aspects of Viticulture
Marina Danieli aims at strict sustainable viticulture practices that motivates the Danieli family to cultivate a comprehensive range of grapes. It includes rich-quality Ribolla Gialla, Friulano, Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay, Verduzzo, and Schioppettino, combined with fruity Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso, Merlot, Cabernet, Pinot Nero, and Tazzelenghe. The wines are bottled in lightweight glass with a natural cork.
There is a farmhouse named Scacciapensieri perched on the top of Butttio’s hills in Colli Orientali del Friuli. The restaurant offers typical menu, prepared within the estate and from local farm products, paired with delicious wines. Guests can enjoy panoramic and breath-taking view of the countryside during their stay in its spacious rooms.
