Mauro Veglio Winery, a Boutique Winery Surrounded by the Unforgettable Panorama

Born in the scenic countryside of Barolo, the Mauro Veglio Winery is located in the certified wine region of Piedmont. The company owns 19 hectares of vineyards, stretched beautifully among three territories, namely La Morra, Monforte d’Alba, and Barolo, protected by Langhe hills. Surrounded by the unforgettable panorama, the estate features various gardens situated in a hamlet of Località Annunziata, a short drive away from appealing La Morra.

Winemaking Since the 1900s

Farming activities live inside the Veglio family for several generations, almost 150 years. Dating back to the early 1900s, in a small village of Ciotto, the winemaking family started cultivated vines, vegetables, and fruits. In the 60s, Angelo Veglio bought a new vineyard in Gattera. Later in 1986, Angelo’s son Mauro expanded the viticulture business by purchasing more land and renovating the cellar. He married Daniela and acquired more vineyards in historic La Morra. Finally, a new merger came into being between Mauro and his nephew Alessandro in 2017. New ideas and wine production methods are introduced, ensuring the highest quality of wines.

Top-quality Wines in Piedmont

Today, around 120 thousands wines bottles are delivered by the Mauro Veglio Winery. The family grows four crus of Barolo, including Arborina, Gattera, Rocche dell’Annunziata, and Castelletto. In addition, the estate cultivates fruity reds of Langa, such as Nebbiolo, Barbera, and Dolcetto d’Alba. Alessandro’s hard work and passion can be seen in his production line that includes top-quality red wines.

Another memorable experience is staying in the traditional farmhouse, The Cascina. Alessandro’s mother, Franca, manages the accommodation for tourists, consisting of five well-equipped rooms and a kitchen. Just outside the farmhouse, there is a porch, enjoying a 360-degree view of estate-owned gardens. Many traditional local products, Italian breakfast, and delicious wines are waiting for you.
