Grape Varieties in the Vineyard

Surrounded by 14 hectares of lush vineyards, Monzio Compagnoni cultivates Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes specifically for Franciacorta. Additionally, 3 hectares of vineyards in Cenate and Grumello del Monte yield Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay, and Moscato di Scanzo grapes for their Bergamo wines. The winery's diverse selection includes Chardonnay, Pinot Bianco, Pinot Grigio, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Moscato di Scanzo, all of which contribute to the unique character of their wines.

Modern Techniques Meet Tradition

The winery features a state-of-the-art cellar with a capacity of 5,000 hectoliters in stainless steel and 100 French barriques of 225 liters, producing approximately 170,000 bottles annually. Utilizing pneumatic presses and thermally regulated stainless steel containers, Monzio Compagnoni blends modern technology with traditional oak barrels to enhance the winemaking process. Award-winning oenologist Donato Lanati, founder of the research facility Enosis, applies scientific methods to extract the essence of the grapes, ensuring high-quality wines with consistent flavor profiles.
