Recognized as one of the Top 10% of attractions worldwide by TripAdvisor, the Oliver's Taranga Cellar Door embodies the warmth and hospitality of the Oliver family.

A Family Legacy in Winemaking

For six generations, the Oliver family has cultivated the land in McLaren Vale, a renowned coastal wine region in South Australia. Founded in 1839, Oliver's Taranga is now managed by cousins Brioni Oliver, Sam Oliver, and their spirited winemaker, Corrina Wright. Their commitment to quality and tradition is evident in every bottle.

Innovating with Tradition

At Oliver’s Taranga, the focus is on quality and innovation. While they honor the classic grape varieties that have defined their family’s legacy, they also embrace new varietals that thrive in their coastal environment. This forward-thinking approach has established Oliver’s Taranga as a leader in the production of alternative wine varieties.

Exciting Wine Experiences Await

Visitors can sample unique wines such as Fiano and Mencia, alongside the classic McLaren Vale Shiraz and Grenache, all sourced from the family’s ‘Taranga’ vineyard. Additionally, Oliver's Taranga has partnered with Finnish F1 driver Valtteri Bottas to create the wine IHANA, available for tasting and purchase at the Cellar Door. Expect a warm welcome and a memorable experience, as the team is dedicated to making every guest feel at home.

Evan was a really knowledgeable and passionate host and made sure we had the best tasting experience. The whole arrangement at Oliver's Taranga was welcoming, even for the kids and non drinkers in the group. Loved getting to know more about the boutique type of winery experience. The Shiraz' were amazing and so was the 'Banished'.

Review: On our first visit to McLaren Vale, our first stop was Oliver’s Taranga Vineyard—and it ended up being our favorite winery in the area. The wines were outstanding, and the experience was so good that my wife and I returned a couple of days later to pick up four bottles of DJ and four bottles of their olive oil. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the region!

Went on a wine tour for our friends 21st. Staff was super accommodating specially since we were running late and kept pushing back the time. The staff (sorry forgot his name) even let us try a fortified wine that they sell but normally don't do a tasting for. We ended up loving it and buying it. We even ended up buying quite a few bottle of wines. Great staff, amazing service and great wines Oh and the Turkey pate was amazing too!!

This is our third time here and first time we leaving the review. Camilla greeting us with friendly smile. We told her we knew what we like and just wanted to order wine by the glass and enjoyed the view. It was Monday Public Holiday so not many people. The atmosphere was fantastic and the staff . were friendly. If you enjoy nice Shiraz with affordable price. This is the place for you. Their DJ Cab Sav is something special you should not miss. Total we ordered 3 glasses of red and took home 3 bottles. By the time we arrived home, We found out that we were charged only the bottles we taking home. I happened to catch the name of the lady helping us at the counter, so i will address here. Therese, thank you very much!
