With the prestigious Caluso DOCG designation, the winery specializes in high-quality sparkling wines, as well as white and dessert wines.

Over 120 Years of Winemaking Excellence

With a rich history rooted in the Erbaluce grape, Orsolani Azienda Agricola was established in 1894 by Giovanni and Domenica Orsolani. After returning from America, the couple opened a restaurant, Locanda Aurora. While Domenica managed the kitchen, Giovanni tended to the vineyards and crafted wines. Today, the winery is a proud member of the esteemed Comitato Grandi Cru d'Italia, producing around 150,000 bottles annually.

In the Caluso DOCG wine region, 90% of the vineyards are dedicated to the Erbaluce grape, known for its exceptional sparkling wines. The fourth generation of the Orsolani family also cultivates Barbera, Nebbiolo, and Neretto grapes. Committed to sustainability and family traditions, the winery employs organic viticulture methods, including hand-harvesting and minimal tractor use, ensuring a low-impact approach to winemaking.

We had a very nice tasting. The people there were very nice and accommodating, very polite. Unfortunately, we were not particularly convinced by the wines.

Today I had the pleasure of visiting this place with my boyfriend and it was a truly pleasant experience. The lady in charge of the explanation is extraordinarily kind and passionate: her way of telling the story and illustrating the world of wine is engaging and clear, making everything understandable even to those who are not experts. We immediately felt at ease, welcomed with great friendliness and professionalism. An experience that I highly recommend.

Before starting I just want to say that I called twice for information and they were very courteous and answered all my questions with professionalism and kindness. I then went to buy the wine in bulk, the one for meals, but it is so good that I put it in a carafe at a dinner and received compliments. For information on bulk wine you need to go with your own 5 liter or 10 liter demijohn/ladies as they don't sell them and if you don't have them there is the Nuova agraria one km before where you can find ladies and demijohns at competitive prices. Another thing to say as information is you can call and book a tasting which costs the right amount and can be done in a beautiful venue. The owner was very kind and gave me information on all the wines and how the company works. Very helpful, in fact I'll be back in a few days. 5 stars truly deserved. I came back because the bulk wine is excellent and doesn't give stomach acid so it's genuine. Now there are also Christmas packages
