Orsolani Winery – Surrounded by Ancient Countryside

Located among the scenic landscapes of Canavese, the Orsolani Winery has its base in one of the historical territory of Piedmont, surrounded by wood, forest, and rows of vines. Under the Caluso DOCG status, the company produces high-end sparkling wines, along with white and dessert wines.

More Than 120 Years of Excellence

Embracing the Erbaluce history for more than a century, the Orsolani Winery was founded in 1894 by Giovanni and Domenica Orsolani. The couple returned to Canavese from America and started a restaurant – the Locanda Aurora. While Domenica handled the restaurant kitchen, her husband, Giovanni, worked in the vineyards and cellar to produce wines. Today, the estate is a member of the renowned Grandi Cru d’Italia Committee and delivers around 150 thousand bottles of wines.

Biodynamic Wines Holding Unique Organoleptic Characteristics

Nestled in the Caluso DOCG wine region, 90% of the vineyards are covered with Erbaluce grape variety that creates sparkling wines of exceptional nature. Some other vines that the fourth generation of the Orsolani family grows are Barbera, Nebbiolo, Neretto, etc. Respecting the environment and family traditions, the family only practices organic viticulture methods, such as handpicking of grapes, minimum use of a tractor, and low-impact fertilizers
