Welcome to Pitzner Winery, where Markus and Thomas Puff, two passionate wine enthusiasts from Bolzano, South Tyrol, craft exceptional wines. Since taking over the family business from their father Martin in 2014, they have focused on creating approachable wines while emphasizing sustainability. Their commitment to the environment is evident as they recycle grape pomace into natural fertilizer for their vineyards, promoting a healthy ecosystem.
Located near Castel Cornedo in Bolzano, Pitzner Winery encompasses five unique vineyards across five hectares, producing around 45,000 bottles annually. The vineyards benefit from mature vines, nutrient-rich soil, and a distinctive microclimate. The well-ventilated hillsides allow for significant temperature variations during summer, enhancing grape aroma development. The sandy, weathered porphyry soils, enriched with moraine deposits, contribute to wines that are both fruity and spicy.
The heart of Pitzner Winery is its historic cellar, where tradition meets innovation. Here, Markus and Thomas pour their passion into every bottle, allowing time and care to shape their wines. Our expectations were absolutely exceeded! The accommodation was simply perfect - stylish and furnished with great attention to detail, so that nothing was missing. Host Markus is not only incredibly friendly, but also ensures that you feel at home from the very beginning. The location is ideal: you can reach Bolzano in just a short time and at the same time enjoy the peace and quiet of the surroundings. Check-in and check-out were completely uncomplicated, which made the stay even more pleasant. The house wine deserves special mention, which we can highly recommend - a real highlight! We can only recommend this insider tip and are already looking forward to our next visit!

Modern, stylish and very high-quality suite. Well equipped down to the last detail. The suite has a large terrace with direct access to the garden with pool and sauna. Croissants and rolls are delivered to the door for breakfast and the fridge is filled with local products. There is also a fully automatic coffee machine available. The hosts are incredibly friendly, had good tips and can make excellent wine! We can recommend the Pitzner without reservation - go there and enjoy!
