Weingut Loacker is part of the Loacker Wine Estates and one of the three wineries. The wineries Tenuta Corte Pavone in Montalcino and Tenuta Valdifalco in Maremma are also the part of the Estate. The winery was established in 1979 and Weingut Loacker is located in the beautiful hills near the city of Bolzano in the region of South Tyrol. At Weingut Loacker, you not only have the chance to taste the alpine freshness but also taste Tuscan wines like Brunello di Montalcino or Morellino di Scansano.
Winery Loacker, Vineyards Reside over Bolzano
Vernatsch and Lagrein, typical South Tyrolean grape varieties, are grown on seven hectares of vineyard. International varieties such as Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon are also cultivated here. The vineyard is located 500 meters above sea level in steep slopes above Bolzano. The alpine and suitable climate with the hot days and cool nights allow the grapes to ripen slowly but perfectly.
Winemaking in Harmony with Nature
Since the establishment of the winery forty years ago, the Loacker family have worked in harmony with nature. The vineyards are cultivated using organic-biodynamic principles, supporting the vines with homeopathic preparations.
