Bold Wines. True to Nature.

Above Eppan Berg in the Dolomite region of Alto Adige our family-run winery has followed organic principles since the 1980s. We work with PIWI varieties to craft pure, characterful white wines that reflect our land and values.

The Gandberg farm is more than vineyards - it's a living farm. In addition to 5 ha of viticulture, our diverse agricultural organism includes orchards, vegetable gardens, chestnut trees and animals.

We are happy to share our world of wine with curious minds and free spirits from all over the world - join us for a tour of the farm and cellar. We'll tell you how and why we make wine - and of course, we'll also taste some wines together!

Amazing winery! Walking around in the wine yard was really a great experience, seeing how they are truly committed to producing wine yet taking care of the nature. We ended with tasting beautiful wine - we are certainly coming back

We purchased this unfiltered 2016 Souvignier Gris at the Bomprezzi wine shop in Rome. A very unusual wine, but good, fresh, and full of flavors and aromas of grasses and mountain fruits.

Had the most amazing experience visiting Thomas Niedermayr winery, people with so much passion and dedication to their wines! Pioneers of organic winemaking in the region, a lot of experimenting and creativity that is translated into a perfection in a glass. Fresh, crisp, wines with a lot of character, yet easy to drink, reflection of its terroir! Bought a lot of bottles and can’t wait to go back next time I am in the region.

Addendum June 2020. This particular Hof Gandberg winery is listed in a wine guide. I wanted to check it out. A truly organic farm. All kinds of animals roam the farm. The wine is sold in a small room. I still have a 06 Abendrot (Mitterberg Bianco) and the 76 Weissburgunder in my small wine cellar.
