Thomas Niedermayr - Hof Gandberg

Had the most amazing experience visiting Thomas Niedermayr winery, people with so much passion and dedication to their wines! Pioneers of organic winemaking in the region, a lot of experimenting and creativity that is translated into a perfection in a glass. Fresh, crisp, wines with a lot of character, yet easy to drink, reflection of its terroir! Bought a lot of bottles and can’t wait to go back next time I am in the region.

Amazing winery! Walking around in the wine yard was really a great experience, seeing how they are truly committed to producing wine yet taking care of the nature. We ended with tasting beautiful wine - we are certainly coming back

Addendum June 2020. This particular Hof Gandberg winery is listed in a wine guide. I wanted to check it out. A truly organic farm. All kinds of animals roam the farm. The wine is sold in a small room. I still have a 06 Abendrot (Mitterberg Bianco) and the 76 Weissburgunder in my small wine cellar.

We purchased this unfiltered 2016 Souvignier Gris at the Bomprezzi wine shop in Rome. A very unusual wine, but good, fresh, and full of flavors and aromas of grasses and mountain fruits.

Slow wine cellar to visit, search for the genuine and authentic product. Availability of the owner Thomas impeccable. I can only recommend the purchase.

What a great place this is! Wow! Thomas and his father have created this gorgeous vineyard filled with biological ingenuity and diversity. The tour hosted by Christine was just as lovely; good English and her knowledge of the vineyard and process is outstanding. Go and discover this awesome way of winemaking ❤️

We took a very informative tour and wine tasting. The farm is beautiful; you can tell it's run with love, and you can taste it in the natural wines. We picked up a selection of wines and apples from the small shop. I've become a natural wine fan. Definitely worth a visit, even if you usually prefer classic wines.
