The Story of Peel Estate Wines
Peel Estate Wines stands as a landmark in the Peel region of Australia. Established in 1973, the winery began with the planting of its first Shiraz vines. Throughout the 1980s, the estate expanded its vineyard with additional varieties, including Chenin Blanc, Zinfandel, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Verdelho, Cabernet Franc, and traditional Portuguese Port varieties. The inaugural wine, a Shiraz, was crafted in 1979 at Paul Conti Wines in the Perth Hills. The winery officially opened its doors in 1980, marking the beginning of a new era for local winemaking.
