Windows Estate, a Small Family-Run Winery created in 1991

Windows Estate is a small winery run by a young family based in Western Australia. Chris, the owner of the winery, started his winemakingpractices in 1991 and later named the winery Windows Estate. The main focus of the winery is to produce high-quality wines that reflect the quality and characteristics of their gifted region. Chris has a lot of experience in viticulture and is passionate about his vineyards. He relentlessly works to maintain the health of his vineyards and does the work on the property totally on his own. He hands prunes every single vine and spends the majority of his time in the vineyards.

Windows Estate is an organic winery with minimal use of machinery in the vineyards.

Simplicity is the Top Priority for Clean Winemaking

Inside the winery, the winemaking process is kept as simple as possible. The workers at Windows Estate handpick the best grapes and carry them delicatly to be processed. The grapes are treated delicately in all phases, and to ensure this, there is minimum use of machinery, hands do most of the work. They use the best quality French oak barrels to age the wines so that wines get an intense flavor and aroma. Sulfite levels are very low in their wines, low enough to be certified organic. Their vineyards are located at the border of Wilyabrup and Yallingup subregions. The soil, climate, and temperature in the region are perfect for the cultivation of vines.

Excellent Sauvignon Blanc, Merlot, Chardonnay, Cabernet Franc, and Syrah Wines

The main varieties of grapes that grow here include Semillon, Sauvignon Blanc, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Chardonnay, Chenin Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, Petit Verdot, Viognier, and Syrah. The best grapes go into the production of their famous red, white, and sparkling wines.
