Experience the Rich Heritage of Piedmontese Wines
Poderi Moretti di Moretti Francesco is a family-run winery with deep roots in the Piedmont region, tracing its origins back to 1630. This historic estate is the result of the union of the Occhetti and Moretti families, who have cultivated the land for generations. Today, Francesco Moretti oversees the winery, supported by his children, Alessandra and Riccardo.
Located in Monteu Roero, Poderi Moretti boasts 40 hectares of land, with 22 hectares dedicated to vineyards. The winery is committed to producing high-quality wines exclusively from its own grapes. To achieve this, they employ natural farming practices, including selective pruning to enhance grape quality, organic fertilization, and minimal intervention techniques. This careful approach helps to prevent pests and diseases while ensuring the grapes are harvested at their peak.
The Roero region, a UNESCO World Heritage site, is known for its stunning landscapes of gentle hills dotted with castles, towers, and charming villages. Here, vineyards coexist with untouched nature, featuring lush forests and picturesque ravines known as "Rocche." This unique terrain contributes to the exceptional character of the wines produced at Poderi Moretti.
