Poderi Roccanera is a family-owned winery nestled in the picturesque region of Piedmont, Italy. The name "Roccanera" is inspired by a prominent rock that overlooks the vineyards, symbolizing strength and stability. The winery produces a variety of wines, including Moscato d’Asti, Langhe Favorita, Langhe Chardonnay, Dolcetto d’Alba, Barbera d’Alba Superiore, Nizza, and Langhe Nebbiolo. The vineyards are home to diverse grape varietals such as Moscato Bianco, Favorita, Chardonnay, Dolcetto, Barbera, Nebbiolo, Freisa, Sauvignon Blanc, and Arneis.
From these grapes, Poderi Roccanera crafts a delightful range of red, white, rosé, sparkling, and dessert wines.
Among the standout offerings are the Poderi Roccanera Langhe Favorita 2018, known for its bold tannins and dry finish, making it an excellent match for pasta, shellfish, and hard cheeses. The Poderi Roccanera Dolcetto d’Alba and Barbera d’Asti are also popular choices, with the latter being smooth and robust, perfect for pairing with veal, pork, and game dishes. Don’t miss the Poderi Roccanera Moscato d’Asti, featuring notes of melon, lychee, and citrus, which complements fruity desserts and aperitifs beautifully.

Write a reviewWe went to this winery on the advice of Alessandro, the son, whom we met at the truffle fair in Alba. As soon as you arrive, you immediately understand that you are in a familiar and welcoming environment, surrounded by the wonderful vineyards of the Langhe. The owners were very warm and helpful. After showing us every part of their cellar, they reserved a spectacular tasting for us, also accompanied by typical local products. Super recommended as an experience! We can't wait to go back!

We met Alessandro by chance and I am very happy because thanks to this acquaintance the opportunity arose to do this wonderful tasting! He is a young, knowledgeable, hospitable and friendly winemaker, who works with the passion of winemakers of the past. The flagship product is Moscato (I took 4 bottles home), but we tasted 5 other beautiful wines and spent a couple of hours in a truly family atmosphere, as if we had known each other for a long time. To accompany the tasting, a board of excellent quality cold cuts and cheeses. All beautiful, special experience!

Alessandro was very kind and available to answer all our questions, prepared and engaging! All the wines we tasted were much appreciated and the local cheeses and cold cuts that accompanied them were also very good. A sincere and excellent quality place!
