Poderi Roccanera winery: in the heart of Piedmont
The Poderi Roccanera winery in Piemonte is a relatively young family run winery. Roccanera: inspired by the rock that dominates the vineyards
The name of the farm comes from a giant rock that sits behind the vineyards overlooking the rows of growing grapes. The classification of the wines produced on the farm are the Moscato d’Asti, Langhe Favorita, Langhe Chardonnay, Dolcetto d’Alba, Barbera d’Alba Superiore, Nizza and the Langhe Nebbiolo. Across the sprawling vineyards of the winery, the grape varietals which are grown here are Moscato bianco, Favorita, Chardonnay, Dolcetto, Barbera, Nebbiolo, Freisa, Sauvignon Blanc and Arneis.
From these varietal grape varieties wonderful range of easy drinking red, white, rose, sparking and dessert wines are produced

The most popular wines produced on the farm are as follows: the Poderi Roccanera Langhe Favorita 2018 which is a bold and tannic yet dry wine paired best with pasta, shellfish, mature and hard cheese, lean fish and cured meat; the Poderi Roccanera Dolcetto d’Alba; the Poderi Roccanera Barbera d’Asti which is bold and smooth and pairs best with pasta, veal, pork, game and poultry; the Poderi Roccanera Winkler Barbera d’Asti; the Poderi Roccanera Moscato d’asti with hints of melon, lychee and citrus which pair well with fruity desserts and aperitifs.
