The Autochthonous Timorasso
The history of Ezio Poggio Winery is more than fifty years old. Presently, the third generation of the Poggio Family is managing the winery. In 2003, Ezio Poggio and Mary Poggio established Poggio Azienda Vinicola to recover the Timorasso. Timorasso is an ancient autochthonous vine of the Borbera valley. The first harvest took place in 2008. In 2011, Ezio re-established Terre di Libarna as a sub-area of the Colli Tortonesi, including Borbera and Spinti Valleys of the Tortona Hills.
