We had an amazing stay at Quinta do Paral! It was a birthday surprise for my partner, and the hotel made it so special with a thoughtful card, a delicious cake, and wine waiting in our room when we arrived. They even gave us a glass of Port to finish off our dinner, which was such a lovely touch. We got there earlier than planned because some of the wineries we’d planned to visit were closed, but it wasn’t a problem at all. The staff were so welcoming. They took care of our car, then drove us down to the hotel on a buggy. We were greeted with wine and warm hand towels in the lounge—such a great start to our stay. Our room was gorgeous, overlooking the vineyards. It was modern, beautifully decorated, and smelled incredible. Honestly, I’ve never come across hotel toiletries that smelled that good before! We did the Wine Lovers Tasting, which was such a treat. It started with a quick tour of the winery, followed by a premium tasting with some delicious nibbles from the restaurant. It was €90 per person, which I didn’t know when I booked, so it was a bit on the pricey side—but worth it for the quality of wines, food and the service. Dinner at the hotel restaurant was good. Portions were slightly on the small size, but it wasn’t overpriced, the food was tasty, and even though there were only four other diners, the atmosphere was lovely. Breakfast the next morning was just as good, with a big selection of homemade jams, fresh pastries, and a hot dish to choose from. Overall, this was one of the best hotel stays we’ve ever had. You can park up and not leave the ground for a few days, as it's so beautiful. The attention to detail, stunning grounds, and amazing rooms made it unforgettable. We’ll definitely be back!

The private terrace offered breathtaking views of the property, including the picturesque building where we enjoyed breakfast the next morning. It was a haven of peace and beauty. Breakfast was another highlight, featuring locally sourced, high-quality ingredients that spoke of authenticity and care. Once again, the staff impressed with their subtle yet impeccable service. They seemed to have an intuitive sense of when to step in and when to step back, creating an atmosphere of relaxed sophistication. Following breakfast, I had the pleasure of touring the property, including the underground wine cellar and several other suites. Each room is unique, beautifully appointed, and reflects the same meticulous attention to detail that permeates the entire estate. The wine cellar is nothing short of a work of art, with spotless facilities that speak to the pride and passion behind their winemaking. Even the production area, from the stainless steel tanks to the bottling space, was immaculate—down to the gleaming iron staircases. I also had the chance to meet their head winemaker, an incredibly kind and knowledgeable individual, and the hotel’s director, who exudes professionalism and elegance. Their passion for what they do is evident in every interaction and detail. Quinta do Paral is a destination for those who value peace, elegance, and the finer things in life. It’s not a place for loud gatherings or nightlife—it’s a retreat for those seeking to unwind and recharge in a serene and luxurious setting. The property also features a state-of-the-art gym equipped with Technogym machines, another testament to the thoughtfulness and care that went into every aspect of the guest experience. The new hotel is a true gem, nestled in a dreamlike, quiet location that is perfect for relaxing. The luxurious furnishings leave nothing to be desired and create an atmosphere in which you can unwind. Particularly noteworthy is the warmth of the hosts, who welcome and look after every guest with exceptional friendliness. Their hospitality makes the stay an unforgettable experience. The kitchen of the house offers delicious dishes, accompanied by excellent wine that the hotel produces itself. The homemade olive oil is also a real treat and rounds off the culinary experience perfectly. Every moment in this hotel feels like a little luxury that you can enjoy to the fullest. I can only warmly recommend this hotel!

Our stay at this hotel was exceptionally nice. The service was simply first class and the hosts were hard to beat. You could feel how much effort the team put into making our visit as pleasant as possible. The complex is brand new and in immaculate condition. Everything seemed extremely well-kept and inviting. The first impression was impressive and was only surpassed by the beautiful surroundings. The regional products offered in the hotel are particularly worth mentioning. The wines were of excellent quality, as was the homemade olive oil. We felt completely at home and will definitely come back. A place that convinced us in every way!

Breakfast is served until 11.30 a.m., so you can start the day with a culinary treat. A special mention also goes to Flavio, who seems to be there for his guests 24 hours a day, never loses his smile and makes the days at the hotel an even greater experience. His colleague Beatrize also deserves a mention: her kindness and help are a blessing. Whether as a couple, in a group or for an event, Quinta do Paral is the ideal place! The high quality of the rooms, the high quality of the environment, the service and the hospitality guarantee that your days at the hotel will be unforgettable. Amazing place to visit! Wine Hotel recently opened in the Vidigueira area.

An exceptional visit and tasting, with exquisite attention

We were the only ones in the tasting room. Doego did the tasting with us and was great in describing the wines as well as life in the area and portugal. I am not a Rose’ fan but theirs had body and was more substantial. The reds and whites we tasted were also great and we left with 3 bottles

We arrived at the Quinta without reservation, but as we liked to buy some boxes of wine, we were offered to taste the wines and had a very relaxing and informative chat with one of the employees. We were able to park our car with the dogs in the shade next to the shop. The wines are incredible! Not to be missed!!

I had the pleasure of tasting your wines at the Vinhos de Portugal event in Belo Horizonte and I thought the white wines were fantastic. It's a shame I only tried two reds, which were also fabulous.
