We had an amazing stay at Quinta do Paral! It was a birthday surprise for my partner, and the hotel made it so special with a thoughtful card, a delicious cake, and wine waiting in our room when we arrived. They even gave us a glass of Port to finish off our dinner, which was such a lovely touch. We got there earlier than planned because some of the wineries we’d planned to visit were closed, but it wasn’t a problem at all. The staff were so welcoming. They took care of our car, then drove us down to the hotel on a buggy. We were greeted with wine and warm hand towels in the lounge—such a great start to our stay. Our room was gorgeous, overlooking the vineyards. It was modern, beautifully decorated, and smelled incredible. Honestly, I’ve never come across hotel toiletries that smelled that good before! We did the Wine Lovers Tasting, which was such a treat. It started with a quick tour of the winery, followed by a premium tasting with some delicious nibbles from the restaurant. It was €90 per person, which I didn’t know when I booked, so it was a bit on the pricey side—but worth it for the quality of wines, food and the service. Dinner at the hotel restaurant was good. Portions were slightly on the small size, but it wasn’t overpriced, the food was tasty, and even though there were only four other diners, the atmosphere was lovely. Breakfast the next morning was just as good, with a big selection of homemade jams, fresh pastries, and a hot dish to choose from. Overall, this was one of the best hotel stays we’ve ever had. You can park up and not leave the ground for a few days, as it's so beautiful. The attention to detail, stunning grounds, and amazing rooms made it unforgettable. We’ll definitely be back!

Our evening began at the on-site restaurant, where we were treated to an exquisite culinary journey. Every dish was a masterpiece, showcasing the best of local ingredients prepared with precision and creativity. As a wine enthusiast from Veneto, I was thoroughly impressed by their wines—each one a testament to the estate’s dedication to excellence. The olive oil? Simply divine. The service provided by the restaurant staff was flawless, rivaling that of a three-star Michelin establishment. The team struck the perfect balance between attentiveness and discretion, ensuring we felt pampered without ever being overwhelmed. The night unfolded in the Signature Terrace Suite, and words can hardly do justice to the experience. The room was immaculate, thoughtfully designed, and exuded an understated elegance. They seemed to have an intuitive sense of when to step in and when to step back, creating an atmosphere of relaxed sophistication. Following breakfast, I had the pleasure of touring the property, including the underground wine cellar and several other suites. Each room is unique, beautifully appointed, and reflects the same meticulous attention to detail that permeates the entire estate. The wine cellar is nothing short of a work of art, with spotless facilities that speak to the pride and passion behind their winemaking. Even the production area, from the stainless steel tanks to the bottling space, was immaculate—down to the gleaming iron staircases. I also had the chance to meet their head winemaker, an incredibly kind and knowledgeable individual, and the hotel’s director, who exudes professionalism and elegance. Their passion for what they do is evident in every interaction and detail. Quinta do Paral is a destination for those who value peace, elegance, and the finer things in life. It’s not a place for loud gatherings or nightlife—it’s a retreat for those seeking to unwind and recharge in a serene and luxurious setting. The property also features a state-of-the-art gym equipped with Technogym machines, another testament to the thoughtfulness and care that went into every aspect of the guest experience.
