A Commitment to Tradition and Quality in Piedmont
A Young Winery with a Bright Future
Founded in 2005 by Gianmatteo Raineri (Jimmy), Fabrizio Giraudo, and Luciano Racca, Raineri Winery is rooted in the rich vineyard heritage of the Langhe region. Starting with a modest production of Dolcetto in Dogliani, the winery quickly expanded its offerings to include Barbera, Nebbiolo, and Barolo sourced from the renowned vineyards of Monforte d’Alba. Raineri's mission is to craft authentic, classic wines that reflect the traditions of Piedmont, supported by the expertise of their families and the teachings passed down through generations.
The Distinct Terroir of Raineri Winery
Situated in the picturesque hamlet of Panerole di Novello, nestled between Barolo and Monforte d’Alba, Raineri Winery benefits from a unique soil composition of grey marls, limestone, clay, and a touch of chalk. This diverse terroir contributes to the wines' rich tannins, full-bodied character, and remarkable aging potential. The winery features three distinct areas: vinification in stainless steel tanks, aging in both large and small French oak barrels, and a climate-controlled storage space to maintain optimal wine quality.
The Key to Exceptional Wines
At Raineri, the philosophy is simple: meticulous care and respect for each wine are essential for excellence. The team prioritizes manual harvesting, selecting only the finest grapes for their wines. They utilize selective oak barrels for aging while continuously learning and adapting modern techniques to enhance their craft. Raineri's vineyards are home to a variety of grapes, including Dolcetto, Nebbiolo, Barbera, Pinot Nero, Cortese, Chardonnay, and Solaris, all cultivated with passion and dedication.
