Organic Winemaking Since 1987

Nestled among lush orchards, olive groves, and vibrant vegetable gardens, Rovero Winery is situated in the picturesque Asti wine region of Monferrato, Italy. Spanning 25 hectares, with 20 dedicated to grape cultivation, Rovero has been producing organic wines certified by the Institute for Certification concerning Ethics and Environment (ICEA) since 1987.

A Rich Winemaking Heritage

The Rovero family's winemaking tradition dates back to the 19th century, beginning in a small chapel built in 1880. The estate features a distillery, a grappa aging cellar, and a historic peasant house within a charming courtyard. The winery combines traditional and modern techniques in its production processes. Today, the three brothers—Franco, Claudio, and Michelino—along with their son Enrico, continue to uphold and innovate the family’s winemaking legacy.

Commitment to Sustainable Practices

At Rovero, organic viticulture is the foundation of their exceptional wines. The family has long employed biodynamic methods to cultivate a variety of grapes, including Barbera, Nebbiolo, Grignolino, Sauvignon Bianco, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon. Manual harvesting ensures that only the finest grapes are selected for processing. The winery produces single-variety grappas of remarkable quality, as well as red, white, and sparkling wines under DOC and DOCG labels.

Stay at Il Milin Farmhouse

Guests can enjoy a comfortable stay at Il Milin, a charming agriturismo farmhouse owned by the winery. The accommodations include well-furnished rooms and apartments with modern amenities such as kitchens, bathrooms, fireplaces, and TVs. The on-site restaurant offers a chance to taste the winery's grappas and wines while learning about Rovero's production philosophy.
