Exceptional Wines Rooted in Tradition and Passion
The History of Santa Clelia Winery
Santa Clelia Winery is a testament to a dream realized. Founded in 2000, the winery is dedicated to crafting exceptional wines while honoring the local terroir. Nestled in the picturesque Regione Rossana di Mazze, it lies at the crossroads of Mazze and Caluso in northern Piedmont, an area renowned for its rich winemaking heritage.
The Vines and Wines of Santa Clelia
Set in the scenic Canavese hills, Santa Clelia spans 12 hectares primarily dedicated to Erbaluce grapes. This varietal is the cornerstone of their acclaimed Santa Clelia DOCG Erbaluce di Caluso, available in three distinct styles: the classic dry white, the unfiltered dry white Essenthia, and the traditional method Rigore sparkling wine. Additionally, the estate cultivates red grape varieties such as Barbera, Bonarda, and Freisa, producing limited quantities of Canavese DOC, Palere, Rox, and Carema DOC wines. These wines are crafted with care, ensuring they age beautifully and reflect the region's storied winemaking tradition. The Santa Clelia team is committed to preserving this legacy, creating wines that are not only enjoyable but also represent the pinnacle of Italian viticulture.
