The History of Santa Clelia Winery

Santa Clelia Winery is a testament to a dream realized. Founded in 2000, the winery is dedicated to crafting exceptional wines while honoring the local terroir. Nestled in the picturesque Regione Rossana di Mazze, it lies at the crossroads of Mazze and Caluso in northern Piedmont, an area renowned for its rich winemaking heritage.

The Vines and Wines of Santa Clelia

Set in the scenic Canavese hills, Santa Clelia spans 12 hectares primarily dedicated to Erbaluce grapes. This varietal is the cornerstone of their acclaimed Santa Clelia DOCG Erbaluce di Caluso, available in three distinct styles: the classic dry white, the unfiltered dry white Essenthia, and the traditional method Rigore sparkling wine. Additionally, the estate cultivates red grape varieties such as Barbera, Bonarda, and Freisa, producing limited quantities of Canavese DOC, Palere, Rox, and Carema DOC wines. These wines are crafted with care, ensuring they age beautifully and reflect the region's storied winemaking tradition. The Santa Clelia team is committed to preserving this legacy, creating wines that are not only enjoyable but also represent the pinnacle of Italian viticulture.

I recommend an experience with Sergio and Gabriella to everyone: through their kindness and dedication, they will passionately make you discover the tastes and colors of an artisanal wine, Erbaluce! Not only do you have the opportunity to take a walk in the surrounding area, but also to sit at the table and taste the typical products of their lands. Good wine 🍷

The approach is inconspicuous but when you turn off to the farm it becomes very idyllic. We were able to spend a night on the farm for little money via the roadsurfer spots. Delicious wine with mushrooms from the forest next door. A clear recommendation for a visit

Immersed in the rolling hills of Mazzè near Caluso, this winery is a flagship both for the quality of the wine produced and for the passion and kindness of Sergio and Gabriella, who at a certain point in their lives decided to dedicate themselves completely with love to the production of a spectacular native wine but in a natural and traditional way, a supreme Erbaluce di Caluso and Passito! Words from the grandson of a winemaker! They offer exemplary tastings accompanied by sublime homemade culinary experiences! Go and meet them, after contact, you won't regret it!🍇🥃🥂
