Sertura Società Agricola: Passionate Winemaking in Campania
Founded in 2013 by Giancarlo Barbieri, Sertura Società Agricola is a dedicated winery located in the heart of Campania. Producing around 20,000 bottles annually, the winery specializes in three prestigious Irpine DOCG wines: Taurasi, Greco di Tufo, and Fiano di Avellino, along with Aglianico DOC. The estate spans 9 hectares, with Greco cultivated in Prata Principato Ultra, Fiano in Montefalcione, and Aglianico in Torre Le Nocelle. The winemaking process takes place in a facility in Prata, where high-quality grapes are transformed into exceptional wines.
Giancarlo Barbieri's commitment and hard work have brought his winemaking vision to life.
Grapes, Terroir, and Tradition
The Aglianico grapes thrive on the sunlit hills of Torre Le Nocelle, specifically in the San Mercurio area, at an elevation of 500 meters. This 100% Aglianico variety benefits from a long summer maturation, enhancing its unique aromas and flavors. Fiano di Avellino is grown in a charming hillside village near Avellino, at 380 meters above sea level. This wine is known for its full-bodied, structured, and elegant profile, showcasing the rich terroir. Taurasi, also cultivated in Torre Le Nocelle, reflects the historical dedication to the Aglianico vine, with clay-rich soils contributing to the grapes' distinctive character.
