Handpicked Excellence

At Sutton Forest Estate Wines, every grape is handpicked with care. The team meticulously selects the finest grapes from their vineyards to create exceptional wines. Since 2002, owners Nick and Santina Lo Russo have collaborated with local viticulturist Darren Corradi to craft a premium range of wines. The estate's grapes are native to the Southern Highlands, and the La Russo family blends their Italian heritage with Australian winemaking techniques to produce outstanding wines.

A Rich Family Heritage

Sutton Forest Estate Wines is a proud second-generation family-owned winery. The Lo Russo family has deep roots in the Southern Highlands, with a history spanning over 50 years. The estate's name pays homage to Sutton Forest Village, a site of historical significance in early Australian settlement dating back to the 1820s.

Commitment to Quality

Wine production is a labor-intensive process that requires patience and expertise. The La Russo family has honed their winemaking skills over decades, ensuring that each grapevine is strategically planted to receive optimal sunlight and nutrients. This dedication to quality results in wines that reflect the unique terroir of the region, making Sutton Forest Estate Wines a must-try for wine enthusiasts.

We had an amazing experience! The Italian owners were lovely and welcoming, and the wine tasting offered great value with detailed explanations. The focaccia was so good we had to come back for more! 👩🏼‍🍳😭 We left with big smiles and three bottles of wine for our family. Will definitely return!💗

Great find on our way back to Sydney. It was a wonderful place to stop and have something to eat and a glass of wine. The Italian couple were delightful and it was a great way to break up a long journey home😍

Lovely authentic Italian style winery. Served by Nick a true gentleman with great hospitality and chat at a table under the grapevines. They do only a few wines but all of them were very good - especially the Pinot/Sangiovese blend and Botrytis dessert wine. The home made Limoncello was absolutely delicious. Our group were on a tight schedule otherwise would have stayed for longer in the sunny garden and sampled their torta and sorbets. Next time we pass by Sutton forest we will stop off for coffee and an antipasto platter. Thank you!

Amazing experience here with a group of 11 friends and our kids. The garden is beautiful to sit in, overlooking the vines. There isn't a huge selection of wines but that's okay, they more than make up for it with their quality. The favourites were the Pinot Grigio and the Forest Red which was superb. Great service, great nibblies at a very reasonable price. The tasting fee was included and it ended up about $26pp (incl. kids shares) when we split the bill 11 ways - for tasting of 4 wines and a couple of dessert wines, snacks, the sorbet and a couple of bottles between us enjoyed in the garden. We were quoted $15pp for nibblies and tasting which is quite reasonable - without the sorbet & wine bottles. The cured meat platter was lovely and there were nice dips and crackers too. The lemoncello sorbet is not to be missed. We grabbed 5 between us to have a taste and everyone thoroughly enjoyed them. The dessert wines are beautiful - A lovely port and a nice Botrytis dessert wine. Space for the children to play in the garden and everyone had an absolutely amazing time. We went to two other wineries afterwards but this was everyone's favourite experience. We spent a little over 2 hours here in the garden and thoroughly enjoyed it. The hosts, Nick and Santina, were just so lovely and made sure we enjoyed our time there. It was no problem to fulfil our requests and they were quite calm about 11 adults and 7 kids. We recommend x11 (kids too! They loved the sorbet!).
