All the grapes of the Sutton Forest Estates are handpicked. Careful consideration is given to every grape vine, and the best of them are picked to fashion their exquisite wine. In 2002, with the great sales of their wines, the current owners Nick and Santina Lo Russo joined hands with the leading local viticulturists Darren Corradi, to produce a range a of premium quality wines. The grapes grown here are indigenous to the southern highlands. The La Russo family has combined their Italian background and techniques into the Australian estate. To produce the finest wines one can find.

2 Generations and Many More to Come

The Sutton Forest Estate Wines is a second generation family owned property. The Lo Russo family have had ties with the Southern Highlands for the past 50 years. Their name, their trademark, Sutton Forest Estate Wines, derives from “Sutton Forest Village” which has a significant place in early Australian history. The village first settled in the 1820’s in a land which was then located on the outskirts of the colony.

Wine production is a heavy investment, which requires a lot of patience. The La Russo’s understand this. And being in business for several decades has made them experts in the art of wine making. The grape vines planted in their yards are carefully placed, so that each vine receives adequate nutrients and sunlight to yield the best of the harvest.
