Tarlao Vignis, a Boutique Family Winery
Tarlao Vignis is located in the beautiful region of Friuli Venezia Giulia, surrounded by the territory of Aquileia. Sipping wine in a pleasant and beautiful surrounding is a blessing. The estate is stretched over ten hectares, out of which vineyards cover around five hectares, and produces top-class wines classified under certified DOC Aquileia labels.
Rich Traditions and Winemaking History
A fascinating history behind the winery establishment can be seen – the philosophy that combines the grapes’ careful enhancements inherited from the ancestors, cared with modern techniques. The winemaking tradition was started by grandfather, Igino, on a purchased property of 181 BC. The family focuses on the religious aspects that play an essential role in maintaining the tradition. Later on, Sabino, father of the current owner, acquired the winery. Today, following his father’s and grandfather’s paths, Francesco carries out all the wine production processes with his in-depth knowledge and experience in oenology.
Perfect Microclimate for Wine Making
The trend of carrying tradition is given the priority where many new modern technologies have also been used, keeping the roots in mind. A wide array of grapes are grown here, which include flagship Mosaic, Friulano, Malvasia, and Sauvignon, along with Refosco, Pinot, Bianco, Traminer, and Merlot. The aromatic red and white wines are produced with love and are distributed all around with passion.
Apart from wines, the estate exhibits outstanding corners not to be missed. A private accommodation, mountain huts, camping, bed and breakfast, are a few of the whopping number of amenities that Tarlao Vignis offers. Tourists are welcome to learn rich winemaking history while admiring the awe-inspiring, scenic views.
