Tenuta di San Donato

Located in the picturesque Florentine hills, Tenuta di San Donato is a small, artisan winery dedicated to blending traditional winemaking techniques with meticulous attention to detail. This commitment ensures the production of high-quality wines that reflect the unique terroir of Tuscany.

The winemaking process begins with initial fermentations in stainless steel tanks, which provide optimal hygiene and precise temperature control. This method is crucial for maintaining the aromatic purity of the grapes. Additionally, our carefully arranged concrete vats are used for blending our signature cuvée, Vico, which features a harmonious mix of Pinot Noir, Teroldego, and Gamay.

On the lower level of the winery, a serene space houses our two most structured wines: Cantagrilli Pinot Noir and Casaglia Colorino. Here, they undergo malolactic fermentation in second-passage French oak barriques. This aging process enhances their body and depth while allowing the wood to impart subtle nuances and delicate spicy notes, resulting in wines that are both elegant and complex.
