La storia della Tenuta Mainardi inizia negli anni '50 quando il nonno Giuseppe del proprietario acquistò la tenuta nel comune di Aquara, situato nel Parco Nazionale del Cilento. Attualmente l'azienda mira a praticare una viticoltura biologica e sostenibile e a produrre vini di alta qualità che esprimano veramente la qualità dei vitigni presenti in questa regione da centinaia di anni. I visitatori sono invitati a visitare la cantina per un tour enologico a 360 gradi che fonde la famiglia, il territorio e i vini della zona con una deliziosa cucina stagionale preparata dalla loro cuoca Mamma Rocchina.
L'Aquara si trova nella Valle del Calore alle pendici dei monti Alburni. La regione ha sempre visto la coltivazione di uliveti, viti, fichi e grano. Il microclima, il terreno fertile e il duro lavoro delle persone fanno sì che l'Aquara ricada nei Colli di Salerno, IGP Paesum e Casten San Lorenzo DOP. Il terreno è misto argilloso e calcareo e il clima mediterraneo è caratterizzato da estati calde e temperature piovose. Aglianico, Moscato, Aglianicone, Fiano e Barbera sono i vitigni tipici qui coltivati.
Solo le uve della migliore qualità vengono scelte per produrre i loro famosi vini rossi, bianchi e da dessert. I vini della Tenuta Mainardi sono il risultato del ricco terroir, dei vitigni di qualità e delle abili e dedicate abilità di vinificazione praticate dal proprio personale. La loro gamma di vini comprende Inspiration, Fratis, Tempa de'Greenhouse e Stizzia. A breve l'azienda aprirà la Taberna, dove gli ospiti potranno degustare i propri vini abbinati a gustosi piatti rurali della regione realizzati con prodotti coltivati localmente.

What an experience! Marco and his family were kind enough to do a last minute tour and lunch for myself and my family while we were on holiday in Italy. Marco and his family were so lovely and guided us around the vineyard and put on a feast full of local cuisine! It was very personal and we had the best day learning about the vineyard and the family. We feel very lucky to have found Tenuta Mainardi!

Marco and his family are exceptional. We spent a beautiful day on the estate and felt truly at home. Tour of the vineyard, cooking class, wine tasting and finally an excellent lunch. Immersed in the greenery, Tenuta Mainardi was a pleasant surprise. Colors and scents characterize the atmosphere you breathe on the farm. Marco's masterful representation of the various dishes, their origin and history is the right presentation of the typical dishes of the local tradition; dishes refined by Mother Rocchina's skill in the kitchen. Everything is combined with the quality and authenticity of the 0 km raw materials, making the simple gastronomic experience a journey of discovery. Pure air, excellent food, good company and relaxation? So ready to set off towards Aquara, destination Tenuta Mainardi!

While I wait to return to visit the cellar and vineyards, I can only praise this family-run winery. Typical local cuisine with genuine ingredients and friendly staff. It's worth driving a few extra miles to spend the night in a place like this, completely relaxed.
