Founded in 2021, Tenuta Vignanova blends tradition and innovation in the heart of Campania's wine country.
Tenuta Vignanova is a family-owned farm established in 2021 by Riccardo and his family, who hail from Veneto but have deep roots in southern Italy. Nestled in Moio della Civitella, within the province of Salerno, this estate is situated in the picturesque Cilento region. The name "Vignanova" combines "vineyard" (vigna) and "new" (nova), reflecting our passion for revitalizing an abandoned vineyard.
Our Heritage and Vision
Our project stems from a love for our land and a commitment to innovation. Moio della Civitella has a rich history of winemaking, with our ancestors dedicated to this craft. This heritage inspires us to continue the tradition while embracing modern techniques.
Our Wines and Olive Oil
At Tenuta Vignanova, we focus on producing high-quality wines. Our flagship wine, Scamillotto, is a pure Aglianico that beautifully represents our terroir. Named in memory of a dear friend, it embodies our connection to the land. We are also excited to introduce our first Fiano, set to be bottled in the upcoming year.
In addition to wine, we cultivate olives in our local grove, producing oils from Frantoio, Salella, Pendolino, and Rotondella cultivars. Our olive trees thrive in the ideal soil and microclimate of Cilento, and we are transitioning to organic practices. We ensure the highest quality by harvesting mechanically and milling the olives on the same day.
Adopt a Vine Row
In 2023, we launched a unique initiative called "Adopt a Vine Row," aimed at wine enthusiasts and newcomers alike. Participants can follow the production process through our newsletter and engage in vineyard activities, from pruning to our annual Harvest Festival.
Adopters receive regular updates via "The Winemaker's Journal," detailing the progress of their vine row. After a year, they are rewarded with a case of six bottles of wine delivered to their home.
Join Our Community
This initiative has allowed us to share our estate and wines with a broader audience, attracting around 200 adopters from Italy and beyond. We take pride in fostering a community that appreciates sustainable viticulture and the art of winemaking.
