A Legacy Rooted in Passion and Vision

Tenute Rubino is a story born from a family’s deep love for their land and its rediscovery. Founded in the early 1980s by Tommaso Rubino, the winery was one of the first to recognize Salento’s potential for modern viticulture. Tommaso’s dedication was passed down to his son Luigi, who, together with his wife Romina, has carried on the legacy with energy and innovation. Today, Tenute Rubino stands as a proud ambassador of Apulian winemaking across the globe.

Jaddico: Where History Meets the Vine

In the heart of Jaddico, where the Tenute Rubino estate lies, winemaking is not just a tradition—it’s an ancient art. Archaeological finds have uncovered a Roman manor house once owned by Visellio, who used local kilns to fire amphorae for shipping his wines across the Roman Empire. These discoveries reveal that vineyards thrived here centuries ago, and the land was a hub of viticultural production. Today, Tenute Rubino honors that remarkable history by cultivating native varietals and crafting wines that reflect both heritage and innovation.

We had a real nice tasting at the Vinoteca Numero Primo with 4 wines and matching lunch. Afterwards we went to the production location where Jasmin explained the history, origins and processes in a very professional, enthusiastic and proud way. Really a great pleasure and experience. Hope to find the wines in Holland at the addresses provided.

We had a lovely visit at Tenute Rubino. We had a private tour where we saw the process of wine making. Afterwards we enjoyed a tasting with excellent wines. Jasmin was a great guide. She was very friendly, enthusiastic and gave a lot of great fun facts. Afterwards she provided us with a lot of great tips to explore the South of Italy. Great experience!!

Nadia and I had a lovely visit at Tenute Rubino with Elisabetta. She gave us a full tour of the installations and provided detailed information. Afterwards we enjoyed a tasting of 5 excellent wines that we loved and purchased several bottles to take with us. She also gave us the historical background of Brindisi and made a reservation for us at a local wine bar for lunch. Great experience, I highly recommend it!

Simplesmente maravilhosos. A harmonização foi precision e elevou cada rótulo. You have a lot of good things and love with lots of cuidado and carinho. Recommendations for a visit while staying in the region. Uma imersão em tradição, sabor and hospitalidade.
