A Historic Winery Rooted in the Roman Empire's Legacy
Experience the Beauty of Marche's Wine Region
Located at the base of the stunning Monti Sibillini National Park in the Macerata Hills, Terre di Serrapetrona is an agricultural winery that spans 66 hectares, with 20 hectares dedicated to vineyards. The estate primarily cultivates the indigenous Vernaccia Nera grape, producing exceptional wines such as Robbione, Collequanto, and Sommo, all recognized under the Marche DOC designation.
Winemaking in Harmony with Nature
Owned by the Graidi family, Terre di Serrapetrona prioritizes ecological balance and biodiversity in its winemaking practices. In addition to Vernaccia Nera, the winery grows several native grape varieties, including Pecorino, Sauvignon, Pinot Nero, and Sangiovese. The grapes are hand-harvested, with only the finest bunches selected for natural drying in a dedicated hall known as ‘Fruttaio.’ After a month of drying, the grapes are transferred to the cellar for further processing. This winery is renowned for its high-quality red and white wines, as well as exquisite dessert and sparkling options.
Comfortable Accommodations for a Memorable Stay
Terre di Serrapetrona offers charming agritourism accommodations featuring four well-appointed rooms, each equipped with private facilities. Guests can enjoy breathtaking views of the lush countryside and picturesque vineyards from their windows. A traditional breakfast made from local farm products is included, and a kitchen facility is available for those wishing to create their own food and wine pairings inspired by Marche's culinary traditions.
