A Legacy of Passion and Sustainable Winemaking
The Story of Terre Rosse Winery
The Lestani family has deep roots in farming, a tradition that has shaped Adamo Lestani's vision for Terre Rosse. In 1997, Adamo took over the family farm from his father, Franco, and established the winery, which reflects their strong connection to the land. Initially, the first two hectares were dedicated to kiwifruit before Adamo shifted focus to grape cultivation.
Terre Rosse and Its Vineyards
Located in Cuccana within the DOC Friuli region, Terre Rosse specializes in producing aromatic white and red wines. The iron-rich soil of Cuccana contributes to the vineyards' fertility. To ensure high-quality wines, the vines receive meticulous care, including manual harvesting and aging in oak barriques or stainless steel. The vineyard grows a variety of grapes, including Chardonnay, Friulano, Pinot Grigio, Ribolla Gialla, Sauvignon, Traminer Aromatico, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, and Refosco Dal Peduncolo Rosso.
The Two Pillars of the Winery
Quality and sustainability are the foundation of Terre Rosse's philosophy. The winery employs advanced agronomic and technological practices to maintain high standards in winemaking. Additionally, it prioritizes resource management and innovative methods to promote environmental health. By avoiding harmful products and being mindful of the ecosystem, Terre Rosse has earned recognition and respect in the wine industry.
