Founded in 1992 by John and Helen Edwards, this family-owned winery has become a hallmark of quality in Australian winemaking. After years with the Hardy Wine Company, John seized the opportunity to create his own winery at Ravenswood Lane in 2005. Today, The Lane Vineyard is recognized as one of Australia’s premier wineries, with a UNESCO World Heritage bid underway to honor the unique landscape of the Adelaide Hills.

The vineyard thrives at an altitude of 400 meters, benefiting from a Mediterranean climate characterized by high rainfall, significant temperature variations, and cool winds. These ideal conditions contribute to the structure, complexity, and acidity of the wines. What an amazing experience! The staff could not be more helpful, generous with their time, knowledgeable, flexible and lovely. The food is absolutely beautiful, every dish was exquisite! Highly recommend coming for a visit, tasting the wine, enjoying the wonderful food, and that absolutely stunning scenery. Take your time. This is something that you can enjoy for the whole day!

We booked a wine tasting and a meal. The sommelier was very knowledgeable, friendly and attentive. The lunch was exceptional and our waitress was perfect, attentive and helpful without being overbearing. Ever dish we had was on point and felt special.

Gosh, I love this place! It is super classy and just so comfy at the same time. Lane Vineyard wines are obviously world class and it’s only a short trip from the city! As a marriage celebrant I have enjoyed many gorgeous weddings here and my couples are always extremely happy with this wedding venue. Looking forward to the next stunning wedding at The Lane!

Came here 8 years ago and enjoyed it very much, both the cellar and restaurant experience! And what made its special was the bubbly which had these continuous bubbles raisinh up from the centre of the special wine glass! And now, I visited to re experience those moments again! Maybe it was because of the weather, which was rather gloomy, but a little less bubbly, but enjoyed the wine and food experience! And i didn't book in advance, but thankfully, someone cancelled last minute, and me plus wife had the opportunity to sit down for a full lunch. We liked the special lamb dish. The mains we ordered the beef to share. Was OK. Decent. Overall, it's pretty good alto, I think the restaurant standard has dropped a bit.. but the bubbly experience is still good!! Will recommend others to visit..
