Turtle Rock Ridge winery: in the Ramona wine region
Enhanced by the backcountry of San Diego, Turtle Rock Ridge is a winery located in the Ramona wine-region of California. The estate is dotted by lush landscapes and charming countryside with a 360-degree view of the vineyards. Here, a perfect blend of traditions and hard work can be seen, decorated by fertile terroirs and microclimate, which helps Laurie and Ian to produce top-quality wines.
A dream came true
The seed of winemaking was first sowed in Laurie’s heart when she was twelve. It became a reality after thirty-eight years of dedication and commitment to do something unique. After completing her degree in landscaping and nursery, Laurie began working with kids of Ramona, but the dream of winemaking was still there. Later in 2007, after Witch Creek Wildfire, Laurie and Ian decided to cultivate the charred land with grapes.
In 2013, with sheer hard work, Turtle Rock Ridge was voted as number 1 winery in California

Laurie and Ian cultivate a broad array of grapes in the estate-owned and rented vineyards. Here, they grow fruity Zinfandel, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Cabernet Franc, in combination with top-quality Merlot and Sangiovese. Respecting the environment, most of the work is done manually. After the handpicking of grapes, the best bunches are moved to the cellar for further processing. Today, the winery produces high-end red, white, and rose wines, paired with rich-quality dessert, sparkling, and fortified wines.
The winery is located near various hotels and restaurants, which means there is no problem for guests to stay overnight and enjoy their vacation. The accommodation facilities are fully equipped, and you can also enjoy local cuisines in the nearby food-courts, served with wines from our winery.
