Founded by twin brothers Gia and Gela Gamtkitsulashvili, Twins Wine Cellar has transformed their family’s ancient wine cellar into a vibrant hub for wine enthusiasts.
More than just a winery, Twins Wine Cellar serves as a center for wine tourism, featuring a cozy hotel for extended stays and an informative museum. The museum offers an engaging look into the history of Georgian winemaking, highlighting traditional techniques such as the use of Qvevri. These large, egg-shaped terracotta vessels are essential for fermenting and aging wine, and they are buried underground to maintain optimal conditions.
Twins Wine Cellar operates two branded stores in Georgia, showcasing a diverse selection of Qvevri wines. Currently, the winery utilizes 107 Qvevris, each with a capacity of 4 tonnes, under the label Qvevris Mzse. Wine lovers can enjoy a variety of offerings, including Rkatsiteli 2017 (dry white 12%), Saperavi 2017 (dry red 12.5%), Kisi 2017 (Qvevri dry white 12%), and Kikhivi 2017 (Qvevri dry white 12%).

Write a reviewWe were only with friends at the museum and for wine tasting. Very good white wines, with unique taste, at very good prices. The manager showed us around the museum and the vineyard where wine is made in Qvevri in the traditional way. A very interesting, unique place.

We stopped here spontaneously on a Monday afternoon. We got a full guided tour through the museum and a wine tasting with 4 different wines (all produced by them). The location is marvellous and very serene. We loved it.

The whole experience was brilliant. The manager Eldar took great care of us and was very attentive to our needs. The room was very clean and comfortable beds. All the facilities were great. The wine museum is fantastic and worth the visit. They explain the whole process from start to finish and there is a wine jars with glass panels that let you see the inside of the amphorae which helps you see the process in real life. The wine tasting was superb, couldn’t think of a better place to drink such amazing wines. Will be back again!

Absolutely fantastic people work there! Everyone we met was extremely nice to deal with (like everywhere in Georgia!). The Hotel is not bad at all, the swimming pool is large! The museum is surprisingly good, well worth visiting. Wine tasting was interesting. My only concern: they make khinkali without cilantro, but they promised to improve :) I am looking forward to see these wonderful people again next year and check their improved khinkalis :) Диди Мадлоба батоно Эльдар!
