Celebrating Georgian Winemaking Traditions
A UNESCO World Heritage Method
Sesikeli Winery proudly follows an ancient Georgian winemaking tradition known as Qvevri, which dates back over 8,000 years. This unique process involves natural fermentation and aging in large clay vessels called Qvevri, which are buried underground. This method imparts a distinct taste and flavor to the wine. The entire process lasts six months, during which the grape skins naturally infuse the wine, resulting in an amber hue for Rkatsiteli, Mtsvane, and Kisi, and a deep red color for Saperavi.
Fresh and Natural
At Sesikeli Winery, every bottle is crafted with care, from harvesting to bottling. Expert winemaker Simon Sesikashvili oversees each step, ensuring that the wines reflect the heritage of his ancestors. The wines produced here harmonize beautifully with the rich terroir of the Kakheti region, known for its fertile lands and ideal grape-growing conditions.
Award-Winning Wines
Sesikeli Winery specializes in key Georgian varieties, including Rkatsiteli, Mtsvane, Kisi, and Saperavi. Notably, their white dry Rkatsiteli earned a silver medal at the 2020 Qvevri Wine Competition, showcasing the quality and craftsmanship that define their wines.
