Martali Wines is born from a deep passion for traditional winemaking, offering a taste of Georgia's rich heritage.

The Heart of Martali Wines

Founded in 2017 by two friends who share a love for winemaking, Martali Wines is dedicated to producing high-quality wines that reflect their commitment to authenticity. Their journey began with a shared vision, and since then, they have consistently crafted exceptional wines that honor their roots.

Traditional Winemaking Techniques

At Martali Wines, the art of winemaking is steeped in tradition. Utilizing clay vessels and ancient methods that date back 8,000 years, they focus on natural fermentation processes. Their family winery cellar, established in 1898, has been thoughtfully renovated to preserve its historical significance while incorporating modern practices.

Located in Kakheti's Fertile Lands

Martali Wines is situated in the renowned Kakheti region, known for its ideal vineyard conditions. The Saperavi grape, celebrated for its rich red wines, thrives in the region's unique soil composition of loam, gravel, and alluvium, with minimal limestone. This combination contributes to the exceptional quality of their grapes and, ultimately, their wines.

We had an amazing time at Martali. Thomas gave us a detailed tour of the beautiful winery, and explained their process in a lot of detail. He took the time to answer all of our many many questions, a great opportunity to understand more about Kakheti and the traditions of Georgian winemaking. The wines were excellent too, we especially loved the Saperavis.
