Luscious Wines and Honey of Vigna Riccardo
Vigna Riccardo is a family winery located in Montà d’Alba, with its vineyards nestled on the steep hills and breath-taking countryside of Roero. The estate covers six hectares, divided into vineyards, woods, and chestnut groves. Along with organic DOC and DOCG wines, the company also produces organic honey. Riccardo, the owner, carries out the beekeeping in an eco-museum, 200 meters away from the main winery.
Vineyards Between Charming Bossola Valley, Morinaldo Rocks & Torniola Hills
Thirty years ago, a lifelong passion began at its large on half a century old vineyards by Riccardo’s father. Today, under Riccardo’s reign, Vigna Riccardo delivers luscious red and white vines. The winery has always been indulged in biological, sustainable viticulture practices, using which three grape varieties are grown. It includes high-quality Nebbiolo, Barbera, and Arneis. Bricco San Bartolomeo, the most appealing vineyard in the heart of Roero, produces organic wines since 1997.
Beekeeping in a Unique Pathway of Eco-Museum
The Riccardo Winery boasts an ancient tradition of organic honey making. Located on a specialized footpath, the same as that of the winery, the owner produces various jars of organic honey, including Acacia Honey, Chestnut Honey, Wildflower Honey, and Forest Honeydew. Every year in September, the estate celebrates Montà Fair, dedicated to beekeeping. Tourists are welcome to join and enjoy the charms of the culture.
