Experience the Rich Wines and Organic Honey of Vigna Riccardo
Rich Wines and Organic Honey at Vigna Riccardo
Vigna Riccardo is a family-owned winery situated in Montà d’Alba, surrounded by the stunning hills and picturesque landscapes of Roero. Spanning six hectares, the estate features a mix of vineyards, woodlands, and chestnut groves. In addition to producing organic DOC and DOCG wines, Vigna Riccardo is also known for its organic honey. Riccardo, the owner, manages the beekeeping operation at an eco-museum just 200 meters from the winery.
Vineyards in the Scenic Bossola Valley
Riccardo’s passion for winemaking began over thirty years ago, inspired by his father’s half-century-old vineyards. Today, Vigna Riccardo produces exquisite red and white wines, focusing on sustainable viticulture practices. The estate cultivates three grape varieties: Nebbiolo, Barbera, and Arneis. The Bricco San Bartolomeo vineyard, located in the heart of Roero, has been producing organic wines since 1997.
Beekeeping and Organic Honey Production
Vigna Riccardo has a long-standing tradition of organic honey production. The owner creates a variety of organic honey, including Acacia, Chestnut, Wildflower, and Forest Honeydew, all sourced from the surrounding area. Each September, the estate hosts the Montà Fair, celebrating beekeeping and inviting visitors to experience the local culture and traditions.
