Vinos Guerra Winery – One of the Oldest Wineries in Spain
The history of the Vinos Guerra Winery started in the year 1870. Historians told of the Guerra Family and their work in the development of the wine industry in Bierzo. The first Guerra wines were made and sold in 1870, and making them one of the oldest winemakers and marketers of bottled wine in Spain. The estate belongs to 850 farmers who look after the land and grow grapes from their investment and work. They take great pride in their contribution to their region and maintain the rural environment of the Bierzo.

Renovation and Modern Technology
Their current winery was renovated two years ago and equipped with the best technology and modern machines needed for winemaking. Combining traditional ideas with the latest technology helps them make wines according to their customers’ demands. The winemaking facilities consist of stainless steel tanks and other machines for pressing and filtration. The winery has barrels for the aging of wines and an excellent bottling system.
Spanish Winery with Unique Microclimate
Their vineyards are present in the region of Bierzo and have a unique microclimate. The soil and mild temperate climate make the valley perfect for cultivating vines. The main grapes varieties here include Mencia, Godello, Palomino, Malmsey, and Garnacha. The best grapes go into the production of their famous red, white, and rosé wines.
The winery also has a museum that tells about the history of the estate.
